Epithet Erased | EP 2 - Bear Trap.
So far my main issue with the show is how it feels less like a show, and more someone reading a visual novel out loud.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash. It's based on a loose adaptation of an Tabletop RPG campaign call Anime Campaign so that could be it I don't have a problem with it but am a easy guy to please.
I don't mind that myself, though I can see what someone means on the visual novel aspect. I've really enjoyed it, especially with how the first arc came together. I loved Molly as a protagonist, I felt for Mera, the aesop of the first story stood out to me, how the situation with Molly and Mera concludes was a really sweet moment for me, and just... I really enjoyed how the storytelling came together so far.
Also, the handling of epithets so far has a very Jo Jo-esque vibe (with regards to Stand battles) which I enjoy.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Epithet Erased | EP 3 - The Doctor is In
I didn't know this was based on a Tabletop RPG Campaign - that explains so much
Epithet Erased | EP 4 - Reflection
Epithet Erased | EP 5 - Redwood Run
Epithet Erased | EP 6 - All's Well That Ends Well
Epithet Erased | EP 7 - Winner Take All (Season One Finale)
This was really good. I'm looking forward to season 2.
Epithet Erased - Prison of Plastic [Kickstarter Announcement!]
Epithet Erased - Prison of Plastic [Chapter 1 Preview]
Huh, the Kickstarter just sped right past the target and its original set of stretch goals, and it hasn't even been a week. I wonder if hitting that magical $450K for an epilogue OVA will be possible. Still a month left, after all.
Chapter 1 preview was fun. Definitely throwing some of my own money down in hopes that we can at least guarantee the next book after this.
Not sure if this means this Epithet Erased thread should be moved over to the Literature board, but the Kickstarter has ended with $358,559USD, which is over ten times its goal. As Blaber laid out in his "Thank You!" post, this not only gets us the audiobook for Epithet Erased: Prison of Plastic and illustrations for the novel itself, but (among other things):
- A backing score for the audiobook, including new songs
- Extended versions of "Great at Crime", "Great at Cowboy", and an extended Season 1 opening
- An new opening song for Prison of Plastic and an animated opening to go with it
- A new outro for Prison of Plastic
- Edited down public releases of Anime Campaign episodes 1-2
- A novelization of the museum arc (Book 1), a novelization of the cowboy arc (Book 2), and a guaranteed sequel to Prison of Plastic (Book 4)
i feel like we could split it up, with season 1 going into this thread, and the books in the literature section.

In the world of Sweet Jazz City a lucky few are born with powers attached to their very souls known as "Epithets". An Epithet stems from a single word that can grant its user any kind of power. Words like "Fire", "Coupon"... or "Soup". A magical artifact known as the "Arsene Amulet" is rumored to be able to steal an epithet from a person, and they say it’s hidden somewhere in the Sweet Jazz Museum... Thieves burst down the doors in the middle of the night! Inscribed warriors do battle in the dark of the abandoned exhibits! Dinosaur bones come toppling to the floor! And a little girl named Molly is trapped in the middle of it all. Will her epithet, "Dumb" be enough to save her? Or will her epithet be... erased?
