If they do include Sabine, I would hope she would be played by Tiya Sircar.

Yeah, Tiya looks quite a lot like Sabine, so having the voice actress play the character in live action would be pretty cool.

There is a mild age discrepancy. Sabine would be about 30 by the Mandalorian. Tiya Sircar is 37. Sasha Banks is 28, so she's much closer to the age of the character.

In either case, that doesn't matter much, as Sircar looks a good deal younger and could easily pass for 30, I'd be glad with either one. Sasha Banks is one of my favorite female wrestlers, so I'd be behind this, but going with the original is a hard choice to make wrong.

I hope Sasha Banks is playing a villian, personally. She's a great wrestler, but I don't think she's a good enough actor to play such a well established character as Sabine

Dune was played by Gina Carano, who's an MMA fighter, and she did a good job. I doubt they'd give an important role to someone who can't act.

[up][up]Banks is also more convincing playing the bad guy.

Rosario Dawson will be playing Ahsoka Tano in Season 2 of The Mandalorian!

Seems pretty clear that Sabine will be showing up too, then.

[up]Not necessarily, they can say that Sabine is looking for Ezra in a very distant place, so she is not available.

I just hope they save Ezra's plot for a spin-off, I wouldn't like the Mandalorian to become a Stealth Sequel to Rebels.

Given the fact that Sabine herself is a Mandalorian I doubt they'd pass up the opportunity to have her interact with Mando.

Yeah, I feel like we'll be seeing the Mandalorian characters from Rebels in Rebels sooner or later, if only to explain stuff like what happened to them, exploring the state of Mandalore, or telling us the inevitably grim story of how Gideon got the darksaber, etc.

I'm not sure why any of that is being spoiler tagged, tho. It's not like we got any information about it the same way we did Ahsoka.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about Ezra. Sabine, maybe but there is no guarantee, especially since she is completely unnecessary to the story of how Gideon got the Darksaber from a different Mandalorian character and wasn't even on Mandalore last we saw her. She has literally nothing to add to the conversation beyond having been physically near Ahsoka last we saw her, and we're five years forward from that post-Endor scene in Rebels anyway.

I'm excited that Ahsoka is going to be here because she's a fun character, but if you're hoping that she's going to turn season two into a Stealth Sequel of Rebels, you're probably going to be disappointed. This is not an ensemble cast series. It's the story of Din Djarin and Baby Yoda, and if Ahsoka's going to show up, it's going to be to complement their story first and foremost.

EDIT: Also, as far as the "SHE LIVES!" celebrations going on. Like, y'all realize there's 21 years between now and the ST, right?

It’d be rather ironic if she turned out to be Back for the Dead, eh?

Regardless, Ezra's plot must be saved for another series, the last thing I want is for the Mandalorian to become a stealth sequel.

As for Sabine Wren, I don't hate her voice actress, but they should hire someone of a taller build for the role.

[up]Why? Tiya Sircar is only 2 inches shorter than the character. Easy enough with boot lifts.

There is also the theme of the Physical build. Making the actress look taller doesn't change the fact that she doesn't have the build of a tall woman.

In addition, what is that obsession with which the voice actress interprets the character, even if she does not look alike.?

No one is obsessed here. You raised an objection (she's not tall enough) that frankly, doesn't hold water.

Its highly unlikely Sircar will play Sabine in a live action role, for a number of reasons. But "she's got the wrong build" really isn't one of them.
