And indeed, I think that a lot of what's palatable to you might come down to which specific scientific issues bother you. "Black hole"-nonsense doesn't bother me, personally, as much as some other sorts.
My Games & WritingI think Season 1 of Supergirl was mediocre, Season 2 was downright terrible, Season 3 was cool and Season 4 was AWESOME.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI can't speak for everyone else, but yeah, Mon-El was to me what Felicity is for many people.
I liked him a little better in Season 3, but in Season 2 he was downright unbearable.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI don't recall having a major problem with Mon-El—but then it has been a long while since I saw Season 2. That said, for reference I have no real problem with Felicity either (as of Season 5—I think that it was—at least, that being as far as I've watched thus far).
My Games & WritingDidn't Felicity ruin Arrow?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Depends on who you ask.
I don't think Mon-El is reason enough to not watch Supergirl. He's just not a character with a purpose I find particularly flattering, and he's part of a tacky romance. I guess I would call him the "Felicity Smoak" of Supergirl, but I don't want to because he's not a show-exclusive character, and introducing the Daxamites into live-action was a cool idea to me at the time Season 2 premiered.
If you can tolerate him in Season 2 he's much better in Season 3.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Felicity didn't ruin Arrow. The writers pandering to Felicity/Oliver shippers and making their relationship central to the show pretty much ruined Arrow. And also turning Felicity from an adorkable IT woman into a whiny "Don't lie to me, Oliver" Lana-type ruined her character, up until Season 7, when she became awesome again.
Completely agree. Felicity is a perfectly good character who was dragged down by pandering and poor writing.
Supergirl Season 2 was tolerable, in spite of the hard left swerve, because of Mama Luthor. Luthors make good villains.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Felicity is an example of an Ensemble Dark Horse where the writers had no plans for her...so they just went with what the shippers wanted, without an actual plotline. And then wrote themselves into a corner, where they couldn't get her together with Oliver, but didn't really have anything else for her to do.
Not for me. (She didn't make Arrow, conversely, but I didn't find her to be an issue.)
(And again, that holds as far as I've watched thus far—I can't rule out the possibility that I'll dislike her in future seasons.)
Or put another way, while Arrow is perhaps my least favourite of the shows that I've seen from the Arrowverse, it's not at all ruined for me.
(My favourite is probably Supergirl, followed closely by Legends of Tomorrow.)
Speaking of the Luthors, I do rather like Lena Luthor. I've been half-afraid that she would end up turning villain, in part I think because I've really enjoyed her as a friend to Kara and an ally to Supergirl.
Of course, her relationship with Supergirl seemed to be somewhat cracking as of the end of season 3, so I suppose that I'll see where that goes when the next season becomes available on local Netflix...

My Games & WritingFelicity unleashed the most fearsome technique in existence: the Tablet Shuriken.
We're all lucky she never mastered it. Everyone knows that's what really killed that league member. Malcolm was late.
One Strip! One Strip!Mon-El had the misfortune to come in and become Kara's official love interest at the same time Lena was introduced to the cast and a lot of people started shipping her with Kara hard. Which makes Lena and Mon-El almost getting married kinda hilarious.

Honestly the only Daxamite I'm interested in is Sodam Yat.
And sadly him & the Green Lantern Corps are a packaged deal.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I can agree on Felicity becoming great again in Season 7.
Her friendship with Earth 2 Laurel is probably my favorite subplot
I honestly think Malcolm hurt the series far more in S3 and 4 then Felicity ever could.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianThey're both symptoms of the greater problem, but Malcolm has more ups for me whereas I never really cared for Felicity before the problems kicked in.
Can agree on 3, not so much on 4.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So it’s just Black Lightning today right?
One Strip! One Strip!Batwoman and Supergirl on Sundays, Black Lightning on Mondays, and the Flash on Tuesdays. I don't know when the other shows air.
Flash and Arrow on Tuesdays.
I’m wondering why they refuse to air Legends and Black Lightning together honestly.
One Strip! One Strip!
I mean, to put things in comparison: both season premieres of Supergirl and The Flash had black holes opening and the main characters going inside and outside of them, which is scientifically impossible. And both had nonsense reasons for why they were able to do it.
