[up] I was a bit surprised honestly, I was pretty sure Tourte would be the one who'd be shot.

The plot is still interesting but it seems like they completely ran out of budget for this ep. This show has never been a sakuga-fest exactly, but damn even the lip-syncing was awful in this one…

[up] Will admit that I still kind of enjoyed it regardless but yeah, I won't downplay its flaws on their animation.

Anyways, I have a feeling that Nancy works together with both Tourte and Zelada with the intention to raise tensions between Semanians and Humans because I have a feeling that Nancy truly hates Semanians because she's being bigoted as fuck.

[up] Seems like it, going by episode 11 (if you're refering to Marla)…

This election is depressingly realistic: on one side a bigotted prick who doesn't try to hide it, on the other a candidate who claims to be progressive but will turn out to be a bigotted prick as soon as they're elected.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed the episode… I just hope they won't botch the arc's conclusion this time. =[

Episode 11:

Yea, it's not surprising why Tourte had a huge hatred towards the Semanians probably because he's assuming that Semanians already overtook humans' job. In the meantime, Kei manages to get close to the truth regarding the deaths of the Conservative guy and Mozleeny as he was given a huge revelation regarding the wife of Mozleeny that has a scummy plan at the end of the day. Sad to see that he and Tillarna got caught by the FBI...Except most of them are manipulated by the old friend of Kei and Tillarna...Guess who?

Episode 12! Pretty nice finale; unlike episode 5 the fight against Zelada wasn't completely rushed, and Kei and Tilarna using each other's weapons was a really cool touch. Now the action doesn't blow up the roof or anything, but at least it was decently animated this time − save for a few confusing transitions.

I wouldn't mind a second season of this honestly (though I doubt it'll happen). It just needs more budget and maybe a different director.

Final Episode:

I have a feeling that Zelada is an allegory of terrorist groups like Taliban who resist changes for his own nation for the sake of the greater good in his own vision and yeah, that FBI guy was fucking brutal but I did get a bit of a chuckle on the password scene. Fortunately, both Zelada and the FBI guy got defeated once and for all in which Zelada got brutally killed and the city in which Kei and Tillarna live becomes peaceful once again.

Conclusion: The highlight of the show? I absolutely love the chemistry between Tilarna and Kei. It was charming and funny at the same time. And while I'm not a believer of "All medias are political" and let's not talk about that, I actually think the social issues presented in the anime are pretty much subtle as hell. But yeah, you could argue that story and animation needs some work and I also dont mind season 2 too.

Finally watched the last episode of Cop Craft.

I guess half or parts of the series were animated. Man I wish they did some callbacks to the original novel.

The show's going to have a drama CD released.

But it's limited to those who've been able to buy all the B Rs IIRC in Japan.

Update:

Been listening to the OST. Aside from the OP and ED, I'm open to give recommendations.

PS - Taku Iwasaki's the composer.
