Aaaahhh, Hubert. One of my favorite characters. Always nice to see him get some attention.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I found this vid and I thought it was hilarious so I'm sharing it with this thread.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AI prefer this version.
So I think my game (Three Hopes) glitched out cause after saving Rhea and the others it didn't end. What's up with that?
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AYou mean the map itself didn't end after you saved Rhea?
IIRC, that's the first mission after the time skip.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Yeah
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AHmmmmm.... did you recruit Petra?
The map ends with a fight against Hubert. Did you fight him?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. No I haven't and I haven't recruited Petra.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AHmmmm... try again, recruit Petra, and post the part where you are stuck in.
I think it's a gameplay thing, not a glitch.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.God the timeline of Hopes is off the the rails. I mean, Alois is now on Jeralt's side rather than the church. I wonder what happened there.
Of course I also beat Byleth on that map as well, nearly died .
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AOh yeah, Hopes is a game that very much depends on your knowledge of Houses to really leave an impact. Such as how off the rails things gets.
Congrats on beating the Ashen Demon, it's such fun to fight them. Very curious to see how far your rivalry will go.
For now, enjoy the great character work going on. Azure Gleam has one of the best first halves of a Fire Emblem game in a long while.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Is Alois siding against the Church really off the rails if he can do it in Crimson Flower as well?
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Well under normal circumstances (IE not recruiting him) no.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AFrom a certain point of view, one could argue Crimson Flowers is an off the rails version of Three Houses.
And from another, one could argue all the other routes are off the rails from Crimson Flowers.
It's all perspective. Multiverse theory in Three Houses is a hell of a thing.
There are at least 12 timelines.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Outside of recruiting students is there any reason for Byleth to level up their weapon skills beside sword?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Raising Authority for better battalions?
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.If they want to be in a good class like Wyvern. Granted I keep them in Enlightened One to not have to put in the effort for that, and with all these powerful swords someone might as well use them.
Yeah, Byleth typically gets all the stats, so putting them in a much better class utilizes them a lot better. I personally tend to go for Pegasus Knight into Falcon Knight. Falcon Knight is about as good as Wyvern Lord, but requires less stringent Faculty Training to get there.
Bows are also always excellent to train as a sidearm for physical units. It gives linked attack flexibility, Curved Shot for when you need accuracy, and easy access to Hit +20 for when you want accuracy on non-Curved-Shot stuff. Bows also allow you to get into Assassin, which is pretty much the only late sword class worth anything (I guess Hero is somewhat in the same boat if male and working on axes). Training both bows and lances could also get you Bow Knight Byleth.
Axes are also always an excellent pick for physical units for their primary weapon. Putting side the obvious Wyvern path, Brigand gets you the very desirable Death Blow. If you dip Armor training to D alongside it, you can also ensure you get Armor base Def in case Byleth gets screwed there. The aforementioned Hero isn't the worst Wyvern alternative as well.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI ask because I'm wondering if I should spend all my purple time blocks on extra training or tea time.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Faculty Training is a much better use of the Activity Points than tea time. There should be enough free birthdays in the month for Byleth to get full Charm bonus every month, if that's what you're chasing. Otherwise, the support points gained are absolutely not worth it when you can do Mess Hall or gifts instead. And extra Charm isn't worth farming out on most of the students. I guess a case could be made for doing it for your House Lord or Yuri, but I wouldn't do it for anyone else.
Also, the students can choose to just randomly reject your tea time proposals, so counting on getting anything from them isn't a good idea in and of itself.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshi@Red: Now that you bring it up, I think there's about 11 possible timelines with the Fódlan games:
- 1. Silver Snow: Byleth ditches Edelgard and sides with the Church.
- 2. Crimson Flower: Byleth ditches the Church and sides with Edelgard.
- 3. Azure Moon: Byleth sides with the Kingdom.
- 4. Verdant Wind: Byleth sides with the Alliance.
- 5. Cindered Shadows: Byleth if they had been there for the weird shenanigans Aelfric pulled before the start of the main plot.
- 6. Scarlet Blaze A: Shez sides with Edelgard and Byleth doesn't join.
- 7. Scarlet Blaze B: Shez sides with Edelgard and Byleth joins the party.
- 8. Azure Gleam A: Shez sides with Dimitri and Byleth doesn't join.
- 9. Azure Gleam B: Shez sides with Dimitri and Byleth joins the party.
- 10. Golden Wildfire A: Shez sides with Claude and Byleth doesn't join.
- 11. Golden Wildfire B: Shez sides with Claude and Byleth joins the party.
@Tambourine:
Given Alois is ultimately more loyal to Jeralt - and by proxy, also Byleth if they decide to keep their bond going - than the Church, probably not?
In the context of 3 Hopes though? It still is given his role and importance in the plot gets re-framed completely.
EDIT: @Mullon:
Not really. The only exception is arguably brawling though as they get some neat Combat Arts like Draining and Mystic Blow.

I mean, it’s clear that Alois’ personal loyalty is to Jeralt above all others; whether he’s with Byleth or not in CF is based on whether he’s sure that they are or aren’t betraying Jeralt by siding with Edelgard and the Empire.
Which itself is why you can recruit the majority of students in Houses or not, vs. Hopes where substantially less overall are available (especially the Lions, as the most who can defect is two, with one of them a Guest-Star Party Member in GW; the Eagles are the same split of four, and the Deer have four who can join in AG but another two on SB)… Because the students spent less time bonding in Hopes, plus two years working more directly for their former House Leader (and on that, given Claude’s shiftiness it’s unsurprising that more of his “friends” can defect fully, even if he betrays the Empire for a vengeful Byleth).
I still have complaints about some of the limitations and distribution (why is Fleche still not playable on CF/SB?! Or Judith on either VW or GW; or Rhea on SS? Gah… At least AM/AG weren’t deprived), but I liked the conceptions of that party member distributing in these games.
Young Hubert-centered short fancomic.
I do hope Hubert's dad remains uselessly Killed Offscreen and the next spinoff gives us a romanceable hot goth milf widow instead.Edited by ShirowShirow on Apr 4th 2024 at 12:02:59 PM
