I have an idea for a graphic novel about some Inostrancevias migrating to South Africa. I just found out that this actually happened. This is uncanny.

[up]You mean a massive migration, from the northernmost part of Pangaea all the way to the southern tip? Cool idea. Also, the Permian is criminally underrepresented in paleomedia apart from Dimetrodon, so I can wholeheartedly support your suggestion.

Now that Prehistoric Planet 2 was released, what do you think? I think it was still great, but a little weaker on the "showing unusual animal behaviours" part. Also, while most animals were wonderfully animated, there were a few moments in Swamps where Austroraptor and especially Shamosuchus looked weirdly fake, something with the lighting and texture was off. But these are just minor complaints, altogether it was still really great!

On a related note, the question whether Quetzalcoatlus could chase away T. rex from a carcass seems to be a... sensitive topic to some people, verging on Flame Bait.

[up]To be more specific, it'll be called Twilight of the Beasts and it's like a slightly less optimistic version of the original The Land Before Time. The protagonists' mother dies while they're crossing the Post-Apocalyptic Desert of Doomy Death, so they have to make the rest of the journey to the sanctuary on their own... except that's only the first half, and the second half is about the emergence of archosauromorphs. Part of the idea behind it was that there's a gap in the market; literally the only outright work of fiction I can think of that's set in the Permian is the Dimetrodon episode of Dinosaur Train.

I wish I could watch Prehistoric Planet, but I don't have Apple TV+.

Hi. I would like to state that weeks ago, I launched a trope called Stock Dinosaur Archetypes, but unfortunately, not only has the trope gotten much in the way of attention, but it also seems that no one has done anything to add wicks in works regarding said trope.

I would like to participate, but if anyone knows me well enough, I tend to be a frequent contributor to another project in the site, the Trope Pantheons as well as trying to do a bunch of other things in real life, so I can't really seem to find time to do some wicking and editing myself.

If anyone is open to the idea of adding wicks regarding Stock Dinosaur Archetypes to work pages as well as recommendations for what indexes could it be in aside from the Tropesaurus Index, I would greatly appreciate it.

Kind regards...

Hi everyone, new troper here and this my first post on my first discussion. I don't know how you guys could have missed that (I have no intention of insulting you for your inadvertency), but in January 6, 2023 (by the time I write this, it could be said that we are approaching its first anniversary) the teaser trailer for newly upcoming animated series about dinosaurs titled Talon was released. It's about a young kindhearted Dakotaraptor named Talon, who was born with magical powers. She joins an otherworldly wizard on a quest to find seven others like her and save their world from a sinister alien threat. As description box under the teaser says, it's a mix of The Land Before Time and Avatar: The Last Airbender. If anyone will read my post, I hope that they will help me to create page about it, because it looks promising with its unique premise of magic welding dinosaurs versus alien dragons.

Do you guys know if there is a thread for Prehistoric Kingdom? Because if there isn't, I could easily create one.

Guys, new update for Prehistoric Kingdom released today, and it's themed around ice age! Here's opening travel music and Send Me On My Way from Ice Age to get you all in the mood, in the wake of this new update! What animals are you most excited to put into your parks/zoos, because mine are Elasmotherium and cave lion (despite not having a game, because I'm still waiting for the Polish language support).

Here's the trailer:
