The point where VS gets really good is right at the start.
Anyway, not much here to change my initial plans.
I swear that daughter raising demon-lord series. :/
I swear fucking someone you raised as parent & child will never not be fucking disgusting especially after starting out with them having an unromantic relationship.
Is this a fetish? I don’t know what’s worse the series itself or the people defending it.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Not a fetish of mine, but fetish shaming doesn't get anyone anywhere.
Watch SymphogearNot every little thing needs to be defended.
It was pretty devastating when I read Demon Lord's synopsis for volume 4. It wasn't the most interesting story ever, but a fantasy series about a mercenary guy adopting a little girl and developing a personality was pretty nice, at least when contrasting with Arifureta.
Speaking of which, can't wait to see Yue animated. By far Arifureta's best character, at least when she's not talking to/about Hajime. In fact, the good characters sudden;y become a lot less likeable when interacting with him. Funny, that.
From what I've heard the dude is the only one of the two who considers them family whereas the daughter doesn't so I'm not bothered by the romance. That said, Arifureta is the one to look out for so...
Actually from what I hear they do marry late in the novel, have at least one “passionate night” together, & when the daughter Latina becomes jealous of him spending time with another woman (her own twin sister apparently) the father Dale makes it very clear that she is the only women for him.
So I think they both consider each other romantic partners & not just family.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Not to mention it requires ignoring Dale was her father figure in the first two/three novels.
Full trailer for Katsute Kami datta Kemonotachi e:
I don't know much about the story, but visually it looks astonishingly… okay.

Here's a synopsis for the manga.
"In war, men become beasts. War makes gods out of beasts. When war ends... where do the gods go? Where can they rest their weary heads?
Wolves walk the forest of despair, the wasteland of lamentation, the sea of bitterness, in the time of dark and light. To kill those that were once their friends."
Sounds kind of overdramatic. I'm not expecting much, but I'll read the manga and report back on what I think of it.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.I know the premise, I just don't know how the story unfolds past the first chapter.
So I read the first 8 chapters. Story's kind of meh.
Basically of a bunch of soldiers got turned into monsters so their country could win a war. But people started to shun them when they came back since they're monsters now.
The female MC is the daughter of one of those soldiers, and the story starts off with her looking for her father's killer, a "Beast Hunter" who makes a living killing off the soldiers since they're now monsters shunned by the public.
Turns out said hunter is actually the captain of the soldiers, and has been killing them cause their transformation means they will eventually go crazy. Apparently.
So far, all the soldiers seem less to be suffering from some sort of monster-induced insanity, and more from PTSD and other underlying mental issues. Feels like the only reason the soldiers are even monsters is so there's a reason for the captain to hunt them down and kill them.
I'm not sure what theme the author is going for, but it's bordering on Fantastic Aesop.
Other than that, there's nothing else to note. It's not exactly a bad story, but nothing I would recommend to someone.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.Oh, i remember reading it first chapter a long time ago. Kinda forgot about it.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieThat synopsis Actually makes the show sound very interesting. I'll give it an episode or two in that case.
As for the things I'll be following this season:
Assure follows
Lord El Melloi II case files: I've been following the novel since my jump into fate series and I've pretty much fallen in love with the characters. The novels being adapted not being translated yet as well as the fact that the first half is anime original gives me a lot to look forward to. That said, I find the Mage craft info dumps extremely boring and have never been able to make it through them, though the animated format should make them more bearable.
Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo: I've been following the manga of this for a while. It's honestly really weird and kind of overdramatic, but I can relate to doing stupid shit due to your self perceived "sexual awakening", the story is actually kind of funny plus the production values look great.
Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator: the manga has it's issues, but I'm weak for Accelerator and Last order interactions
Watching out of curiosity
Dr. Stone: I have started this manga three times. I drop it on the exact same page everytime, the page where the girl is introduced. The art is good but the artist's doll style for the girls is extremely off putting to me. The Character visuals seems to make it more bearable though so I'll try it out and see why it's so hyped up.
Enen no Shouboutai: if I were to describe this show, I'd compare it to a dish that you assume will be super spicy thanks to it's colouring, smell and all the pepper chunks but it tastes like tomato sauce. No matter how far I go the pacing always makes me feel unsatisfied by the end. I want to see if the anime will fix it.
Vinland Saga: things been hyped to hell and production values looks amazing so I'm curious.
BEM: Ever since Dororo I've decided to give all reboots of old franchises at least one episode.
Naka no Hito Genome [Jikkyouchuu]: it just looks kind of cool.
Interest is dependant on one thing
Ensemble stars: I Know idol games don't care about their female MC's that much so depending on her relevance (or even existence )to the story I might follow it.
Everything else is a hard pass though.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysAs an aside, Arifureta is airing fairly late at night so there's a fair to mid chance its adopting the Light Novel and not the manga with all the lewdness that implies.
I can see the big YIKES some people are going to have to Hajime and Yue's very sexual realtionship already in my mind's eye. I also feel like that's a big part of why the show was delayed so long. They probably had to shop around for a network that'd let them air the thing without cutting it all to hell and back because Hajime and Yue's relationship and how she (and the other girls, but mostly Yue) keep Hajime sane is a big part of the series.
I also don't have high hopes for it getting more than a single cour even though it needs like 2 or 3.

It's not like they need to animate any sex scenes. The most that the novels ever do is casually mention "btw Hajime and Yue banged like rabbits" during brief timeskips, so a throwaway comment is all that's really needed if they really want you to know.
Wait were're talking about something else, my bad.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Aren't they more or less in the same age range too? That would certainly be less problematic for a lot of people.
She a lot older than him since she a vampire.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieShe's over 300 to his 16/17. That said, the most disturbing part of their relationship is how...rapey the sex is to put it lightly since the first time they have sex Hajime didn't even want to put Yui forced him to anyways and there are a lot of mentions of Yui forcing him to have sex with her/not letting him have a choice to stop having sex that gets played for laughs.
Wait isn't that just plain rape instead of just rapey?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, that's probably not going to be in the anime. Animated sex is rare on TV and you shouldn't watch past the first arc anyway
From what I recall Hajime puts up only the barest minimum resistance to it at first. Like, only the token amount so that he doesn't come off as overly eager. Then they just make wuv bubbles at each other whenever the opportunity presents itself to the consternation of the rest of the cast.
Yep. Hajime's never really opposed to it. I forget his exact reasoning throughout the first novel, but he's more than happy to be sleeping with her by the end anyway. And then he doesn't want a harem because he's loyal to Yue. Which I guess is kind of admirable, but Hajime is also generally terrible otherwise, so I guess it balances out.
Isekai author seem to unable to write character with moral flaws. I guess that because they want to make a self insert charater but don't want to alienate the readers with characters with flawed morality. The result is that it make inconsistence, hypocrite and overall boring character.
