In the small town of Fenn, Washington, something strange is afoot...
It is an alternate version of 2005. Technologically and culturally, the world is roughly equivalent to our world in the mid-1980s, except for biotech, which is a lot more advanced, to the point where clones and genetically modified individuals, while still rather uncommon, are not really that big of a deal.
The major powers of this world are the Anarcho-Syndicalist British Socialist Union (BSU) and many of its former coloniesnote Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, and Several Middle Eastern and North African Countries and Union of China (or just China) on one side of this world's cold war and the Constitutional Monarchist Russian Empirenote in this timeline, Red October never happened, as the Tsars adopted a much more liberal approach a long time before the Bolsheviks were formed. and the Republican (as in, it's a Republic, not that the president is a Republican) United States of America on the other side of the Cold War.
Fenn, Washington is a small, quiet coastal town in Northwestern Washington, near Vancouver Island. However, something strange and worrying seems to be happening in this small, quiet town, and only the kids seem to be noticing it. A few friends have teamed up to investigate, perhaps simply uncovering a syndicalist plot, or perhaps discovering something far, far weirder...
CHARACTER SHEET
Name: Self-explanatory. Feel free to make it interestingnote Russian Americans are a lot more common in this world for obvious reasons, if you want to be a Yuri or Nikita..
Appearance: See above. Include what clothes they like to wear.
Personality: Again, self-explanatory. I strongly encourage you to please not make your character an asshole.
Age: Also self-explanatory. Please make your character 13-17 years old.
Modifications: Keep in mind that these are normal/semi-normal kids, so nothing too drastic (no merpeople or government-made killing machines). Also, please indicate if your character is a clone. You also do not have to have any if you do not want to.
Stuff: Possessions your character keeps on their person. Again, remember: normal kids. Also, indicate whether your character is semi-wealthy, average, or strapped for cash, but please avoid exact numbers.
Skills: Stuff your character is good at. Please don't make it too outrageous...
Bond: One NPC your character can call on if they need help in a pinch. Nobody too powerful, but they can still be pretty intimidating by the standards of a bunch of teenagers if you want them to be (Example: Having the sheriff as a buddy is okay; having the freaking Tsar at your beck and call is most certainly not). Explain what kind of relationship you have with this character.
Background: Your character's basic backstory.
Miscellaneous: Anything I forgot to mention above.
