Opening
gaaag the song would be legit good if those high notes weren't so bad.
And yeah I do love the dark hair girl's physique.

Dat animation is fire.
Ya gotta love OP's which are full of dope action scenes.
And since this show is gonna be 24 episodes then its hopefully gonna get to the meatier bits of the story.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I wonder if this will be one of those shows with multiple seasons or like soul eater anime and gecko ending
Do we know how long it even is? I've heard both 24 and 48 as episode numbers so I'm not sure which is true.
Yeah, the sources are rather... Inconsistent at best. I'm taking ANN source for a safe route but who knows the airing schedule could be wrong

Definitely not 48 all at once, at least. There's been 24 announced, but I'm also hearing that there'll be another 24 after a 2-cour break
Yeah there's no way they can keep this level of quality for 48 episodes straight…

@Lyendith @Hylarn You may have a point. I guess 24 episodes would suffice and it would be interesting if FF got season 2

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."That OP is so banger
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Didn’t davidpro snatch up some veteran Shaft animators?
Wait really? Oh yeah... I recall in MAL comments about someone from Shaft animated it but I could be wrong
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Like, this even looks better than Jo Jo on how it’s animated
The pacing of the anime, while still kind of disjointed, is comparably more bearable than the manga so I'll definitely be keeping up with this. The brief flash about the Nun's memories was interesting, and I teared up a bit when they laid the father to rest and gave the Daughter that picture.
That said I don't think I'll ever get into this op, overall I prefer the Ed because it feels more cohesive in addition to having a song I prefer

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysYou don't have to worry. I wasn't gung-ho with the opening either
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."The OP looks very slick.
I remember really being impressed when I first read the manga about how Shinra lost his family and how he came to terms with it during his first battle.
I totally forgot about the one Infernal who didn't attack for this episode. I haven't reread since the Rookie games when that one villain appears so I need to catch up.
Episode 2:
So Shinra used to have a rival in the academy named Arthur Boyle and he's still his rival even after joining Company 8 and yeah, I think Arthur's inspiration came from King Arthur of course. Also, Maki is a no-nonsense character as she is able to beat Arthur and Shinra despite being second generation but have to admit that the interaction between the fire that she controlled and Director Hinawa is funny as hell. After that debacle, they now embark a new mission to put a rest to an innocent girl's father... Poor her. In the meantime, something sinister is lurking in the shadows and he's intimidating as hell.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."To be exact the difference between Second and Third Gens are that Second Gens can manipulate fire, while Third gens can generate it.
Again, the comedy bits of this episode were weirdly paced, with even a couple of jump cuts (like Maki taking a pose in one shot but having a different pose the next)… Maki's fire pets are cute though.
Now the second half of the episode was pretty moving. I really felt for that poor girl. =( It's good that the members of the 8th are taught compassion first and foremost.
…And now we're having a tournament arc? 3 episodes in? Okay. >.>
Of the two big shows this season, I think I like this more than Dr. Stone, but I wonder if I’m biased because Fire Force has a dub.
@Envyus Pretty interesting analysis you got there and yeah, it kind of reflects in the show... Though I wanted to know what First Generation do since I haven't read the manga yet and plan to do so in the future
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Fire force has a dub?
Arthur seems like a bit of a clown, but I loved Mika's line about how knights should kneel in front of a princess...probably my favorite line of the episode. I think Mika might be my favorite character, her or Obi.
The episode was okay, though not as good as last week's. I'm guessing this shady dude is our arc 1 villain.
First Gen are Infernals.
On the tournament: Its a fakeout. It's used to introduce some major characters, but shit happens immediately and the whole thing is called off.
Yeah, that’s as much I remember
I recall the manga is still ongoing @LSBK so yea...
Anyways, is it me or is the artstyle reminds me a bit of Durararara mixed with Black Clover?
