Dang it, you beat me to it.
Hrh-hrm. I'm tickled pink over this. The idea of a teenager stealing an old superhero costume and wearing it to a party to piss off their father is hysterical to me.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It makes sense she'd get a show. Courtney was among the more popular characters from Justice League Action. I'm just happy the Justice Society is acknowledged by DC. Just hope they don't give her the comic characterization.
What's wrong with the comics characterization? Yeah, she started off an ass, but she got better. Hell, that was the entire point. Unless you don't want her having any real Character Development?
You'd be amazed how many people just want Static characters they already like instead of having to deal with a character they don't like that changes for the better... but because they didn't like them at first They have to stick to that first impression.
Its like some weird aversion to character development, I guess they don't want to admit to being wrong about someone.

Well, I guess we can all just throw A Christmas Carol in the dustbin, can't we?
I'd be down for some Static characters making the jump to live action.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Awww, I wanted a live action adaption of James Robinson’s Starman instead.
That would be a great way of introducing all the Golden Age characters as well as the MANY people who used the whole “Star” gimmick in DC to a wide audience. Plus out of all the DC heroes, I can definitely relate with Jack Knight.
Geoff Johns is directly involved. Probably the best choice since he has the most experience with her character. I wonder if we'll see any other JSA memebers.
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Stargirl is legitimately a character with a lot of potential, but one senses a bit of "nepotism" at play, given that Geoff Johns created her and he's now in charge of what properties get developed in live action. Still, she's a good window onto all the Golden Age characters, so that'll be nice to see.
The Titansverse isn't even out yet and already rivaling the Arrowverse in terms of sheer numbers of series

Oh, I was trusting our site on that one, but it already got commented out, as there is no confirmation yet.

Not sure how that’s gonna work because while that series is awesome, the two are quite different. Of course odds are I’m just reading too much into it and it will be its own story.

Well, Courtney's origin in the comics does deal with her finding out the secret of her family, namely that her new step-dad used to be a sidekick to the Star Spangled Kid.
Stargirl will have a lighter tone than Titans and Doom Patrol
At least they are mixing it up. It'd be boring if all their shows were dark and grim.
Wake me up at your own risk.True. Just look at the Netflix Marvel Shows! They totally mix up their tones and not have the same gritty grounded tone with each new show that comes up.
Now that I think about, the Netflix series really need to lighten up a bit. I hope the Heroes For Hire show does that.

What Heroes for Hire show?
Isn’t there a Heroes For Hire show being planned for Netflix? Especially after the whole positive reception of Danny’s appearance in Luke Cage season 2 and hints from the showrunners that they want to make one.
I haven't heard of any such plans. Some fans have been asking for it but there's been no official word of it from Marvel. The closest we have to this is Misty guest starring in the upcoming season of Iron Fist but that's it.
Honestly my biggest hope for this series is that S.T.R.I.P.E. will still be in.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. They'd have to earnestly try to make this series dark and gritty. Courtney's origin involved stealing a super suit from her attic. Later, she fights crime with her dad who wears a giant mech suit.
No room for Blessed with Suck or parental abuse there.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Don't say it like that. They'll take it as a challenge.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!

Not too familiar with the character but glad to see DC take a chance on less exposed characters.
