Hell that should have been what Billie and her sister's roles should have been in season 8. Especially given all the talk about training the next generation of witches in the preceding season.
What exactly did they do? o.o
The Protomen enhanced my life. One of the earlier seasons, when Prue was still around, had them experience a bad future where their selfish actions led to Phoebe being burned or something.
It seems they forgot that lesson once Shannon left the show. >.>;
Based on production and cast comments, BOTH of the remaining sisters became very vapid and egocentric after Shannon left. It might have been the reason she did leave.
Paige was probably the most likeable and, even then, she had her awful moments. Hopefully, the reboot will learn from the sins of the father.
Funny thing is when they DID recruit Billie to do their work for them, they still complained about having to train her.
I'd like the name of this fanfic, if you could remember it.

Also that horrible finale with Bille just roasting her sister like nothing and being swept out the show.
Mileena MadnessI used to really like the old show as a kid, but like other people mentioned the characters became a lot less likeable after really thinking about their behavior and certain plot lines in the later series.
I don't know if I'll watch the reboot, but here's to hoping it'll avoid those problems.
The comments I've heard were always that Shannon was the one who was difficult to work with and the others got along like a house on fire.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. One doesn't prevent the other? Both can turn vapid after Shannen left and still get along despite being vapid and annoying to everyone else?
Rose Mcgowan, in her book, mentions that she went out of her way to avoid antagonizing the other two. Though she's since feuded with Alyssa Milano, and Alyssa Milano herself mentions how she used to not get allong with Shannen Doherty.
Of course, by this time everyone's got their own version of the story so who knows how things really were.
What did Brad/Leo say?
Mileena MadnessAs far as I'm aware, he's stayed out of the arguments. So who knows?
Small joke, but it seems ironic that Leo, the character that was disregarded and disprespected probably the most on the show and least activly involved in the petty drama, is the actor who is still the least involved in the petty drama.
So this is airing tonight. Never saw the original show but I'm vaguely interested in this.
The series premiere was surprisingly well done. I really like Harry — he's such a better character than Leo ever was. (I love the fact that he just nonchalantly healed that guy at the end, as if he just didn't care.) I hope he isn't evil.
I also like how they are diving straight into the whole "we have a secret sister that we never knew about" thing immediately. Although it's probably going to get a bit boring if she keeps trying to think up rational, scientific explanations for magic stuff.
That is not what she did. She looked at the magic stuff and went, well, "The magic contains a lot of acid, so if we neutralize that, it will probably break". Which, yup, it did. She was not being a flat earth skeptic, she was applying the scientific method to a new phenomenon, which is both great and a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
Aside from that moment, however, she was all "I will explain this magic stuff through science!" Which is nice, but can get old.
I really enjoyed this new episode. And I enjoy the fact that we're getting a season arc — something that the original Charmed tried, but wasn't very good at. (I'm also glad that they aren't forgetting things that were set up in the pilot, like the girl in the coma.)
Have I mentioned how much I also like Harry? So much better than Leo.
Not sure how much of it is nostalgia, but I kinda miss the old orbing effect.
I can't help but feel this show could and should have come up with a better name than "The Source of All Evil".
Depending on how they handle they'll probably just use the name of the host, though did The Source ever get a real name in the old show?
No, but that's because it was a legacy title.
Before, i was under the impression Thane was the one who put Angela in the coma.
So is Charity going to turn out to be a villain? Because if not, framing Trip for a bunch of crimes he didn't commit is way beyond the pale.

Charity isn't a villain, she's just deeply morally gray. After all, Trip was already dead, so framing him for the killings the Harbinger did don't actually hurt anyone (aside from all the emotional hurt from his friends and family). If she didn't frame him, then they might continue investigating those murders and arrest Angela Wu for them.
The sisters were likable at first, but over time they become more concerned with themselves over the innocents they're supposed to protect. That, and as people they became pretty hard to stomach when you examine their actions under some scrutiny.
