Is this the otter soup episode? I really need to catch up.

It's been fun.

Well, from episode 20 I think we can assume that if anything Inkarmat says is true, she's Asirpa's mother. If not, then who knows.

Also, seriously? This is what I get for hoping that even one member of the 7th wasn't some plot-armored freak.

It's been fun.

This is an adventure story. It's a story of the Serial Killers, Criminals, PTSD Soldiers, Psychopaths, Sociopaths, and the 7th Division we befriend on the way~

While that's true (and like I've said before, it's par for the course for the adversaries to stay one step ahead), I feel like Tsurumi gets away with a lot because most of the time he's wacky, but episode 20 kind of highlights the problem with that.

We're shown that a member of the 7th has infiltrated Abashiri, and plans to leak info back to Tsurumi. So far, makes sense. But then the problems start to crop up. The guy is new enough that his boss hasn't bothered learning his name, and new enough that he is presumed not to know about Nopperabo. So he probably joined within a few weeks at most. But Abashiri is a military prison, and should be staffed only by soldiers - so how did a currently serving member of the 7th fake himself being assigned to the Prison without stating who he was or which division he was a part of? It sounds like he could have said he was from the 7th, but hid that he was telling Tsurumi information, but that would be stupid on everyone's side.

It's been fun.

Man. The scene with Toni and Sugimoto is one heck of a powerful scene where he warns him that Sugitomo can't get back if Toni is killed.

Three things for Episode 22:

  • Ogata finally saying "Chitatap".
  • Hijikata using his katana for chopping salmon.
  • The Siege on Abashiri Prison.

Looks like the Golden Douga Gekijou is included in home video releases in Japan.

Is there anything that adds to the show/manga or they're just side stories?

I want to make a Recap page for the series like this, but I don't know the names of all arcs. Could someone help?

Anime News Network has delivered the bad news that they'll animate Shiton Anehata, the worst offender among the Abashiri prisoners, in an OVA anyway.

I doubt the sanity of not only the author but also the animators.

So we'll get animated versions of those scenes.

I need a new sig.

Speaking of which, I tried bear meat from Hokkaido on my last trip in Tokyo via yakiniku place.

Pretty good.

It has started.

And the investigation went sideways (temp) because of Tanigaki with a fundoshi on a photo.

Glad to see the bara homoeroticism is still well and alive.

Laughed hard when the guys got goaded into the Stenka. Heck yes.

Not surprising when most of them engaged in some (Does not work) aphrodisiac that "made" them decide to do some aggressive sumo wrestling.
