Witch!
it was Star Wars reference. Didn’t realise irony until I posted, but yes, your idea fits much better.

You mean witch. Never trust a man in casual drapery, remember?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Something I just realised about that line.
Having Belos wear casual drapery would be oportunity for great Brick Joke.
He could be. We don’t know what that cloak is made of. Could be silk, but it could also be curtains painted beige.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Reposting and hoping this is enough context, but basically scary puppets telling you not to dangerous chemicals in your mouth:
So, think even the fiercest citizen on the Isles would find this messed up?😅
Actually, I’m gonna change my answer. This is a civilization that was born and raised on a CORPSE whose children tend to summon hellspawn for fun. It would take a lot to disturb them. I’m talking the love child of David Cronenberg, Fede Alvarez, and the most shock value episode of Family Guy there is. That is what it would take to get even the mildest reaction out of these people.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Yeah, that sounds about right!
Eda: Okay, who decides to break into those weird costumes I stole from the Human Realm and had too much Apple Blood before deciding to make a viral video?!
"Us weirdos have to stick together!"I have to imagine this would be what Gus and the Human Appreciation Club would try as human edutainment. Luz would ask if he took constructive criticism…
Found a relevant comic dub of Willow, Gus, and Hunter watching a human horror movie:

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I'd imagine any movie that gets Hunter very touchy feeling would be an A in Willow's book.
Oh and in the memory of Toriyama, Eda has all her kids over to binge Dragonclaw from the original, to Z, GT and Super. Camila tries to bring up Evolution, which Eda feigns ignorance about.
The Owl House characters' taste in fiction is pretty bad. Just look at Luz and others' love of "Good Witch Azura". What little we know of it is that it's a cliche storm.
And that's completely intentional. The whole point is that Luz comes to realize that life and true heroism are more complex than cheesy fantasy shlock.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI don't think anyone's taste in entertainment is 100% quality to be frank. Even critics like Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert who could be very strict have their tastes which good or bad, you wouldn't expect them to like.
And hey, heart wants what the heart wants and pretending otherwise is a waste of time and energy.
It occurs to me that Willow is the only one out of the Hexsquad whose taste in fiction we have no window into…
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I imagine her interest is 'sports' rather then fictional worlds.
New theme music also a boxMaybe she gets really into underdog stories.
So she’d be into underdog sports movies?
Crud. I don’t know any… uh… Air Bud? Rudy? …That’s all I got. Please help.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Angels in the Outfield. There is an old 1950s version, plus the 1994 version from Disney with Christopher Lloyd.
Maybe The Absent Minded-Professor and Flubber as the invention in question is used in helping a team win.
Edited by Antiyonder on Mar 28th 2024 at 1:25:00 AM
I can’t seem to find the Christopher Lloyd version…
But I would wonder what the people of the boiling isles would think of Angels…
I can see her watching Absent Minded Professor and Flubber with Amity. Flubber could be seen as a little green abomination.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Maybe Pokémon as an aside as well as other toyetic stuff like Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade and Medabots?
Depending on if TOH is set in a similar timeframe (aka the 2020’s), I wouldn’t be surprised if she grew up watching some of the more modern versions of those shows (ex. Beyblade Burst).
…We’re still talking about Willow, yes? Because I imagine Luz would grow up on those shows, but not Willow, who is a child of the Boiling Isles. Unless she got a DVD that washed up from the human world…
