Here's a fun little game, based on an older and inactive one. We start a timeline for a fantasy world. Every post represents an year, and the important events that happened. Let's go!

  • 1000 BCE (Before Common era)

  • The first humans come to the land of Chaan, lead by King Gilebert.

  • The elf race, natives of Chaan, begins warring with the humans. Their queen Kali leads the war. To help fight humans, they build golems known as the Invincible Ones.

Apparently this version of Hyde looks like a Jojo's character. According to people who have seen that anime and I guess understand it.

996 B.C.E.

The Imps make a ‘treaty’ with the Humans and go to war with the Elves alongside them.

The Battle of Vengeance(Human title)/ The Ora Massacre(by the Elves) happens. Humans and Imps strike when the Elves expect it least, with gunpowder and poison in their food and drink. Ora was retaken, and casualties were few for the Humans. Hundreds of thousands of Elves died, their leaders heads on spikes around the city.

‘’’’996 BCE’’’

  • Adiv, now age 1, is abducted on Sigmund the Second’s orders, and their parents are given a large sum of money and visitation rights, though Adiv recognizes Sigmund the Second as their father.

  • Human settlers continue to culturally intermingle with the Imp population of Tek, as Empress Gallia eventually takes control, declares herself empress, and begins a three year long political purge, with many supporters both among her fellow human settlers, and the imps themselves.

  • Tiberius Maximus is given an unlimited budget, and ordered to figure out how dangerous gunpowder truly was, and gauge the potential of it.

  • The dragons are halted from breeding any more for now, as a plague begins to kill their numbers. Later known as dragon-sickness, a natural phenomenon that occurs once every 200 years, and seen by numerous religions as an act of god at the time.

  • The ‘Jackal-People’ manage to gain access to the crossbow, and begin winning a large amount of victories in combat, due to their dark magical advantage.

  • Tukai and Ambassador Claine meet, in an attempt to end the Elven Civil War, also known as the Rise of the Night-Bringers, (By Elves) Decline of the Elven Grip (By humans), and numerous other titles.

  • Unfortunately, after weeks of discussion, neither are able to find much common ground, but promise to keep in touch.

  • The Chaan attempt to assasinate Sigmund the Third, but horribly fail. In response, platoons of human soldiers march on the Elven borders, taking numerous areas of land.

  • Several Half-elves are born due to various factors, and are warily accepted into Human society.

  • The ‘Jackal-People’ are bequeathed the slur of ‘Drow’ by their Elven brethren.

  • Orc soldiers arrive on the other side of the Dwarf kingdom’s borders, equipped with the material of Bronze. Revealing themselves to be an expeditionary force by their ‘Sun-King’, they proceed to needle Dwarfen border guards with plenty of questions, before eventually coming to a diplomatic consensus of looking over each other’s shoulders while trading.

  • It is here that we recieve our first glimpse at Orc culture, revealing a mixture of classical arts and garish brutality. Most elven reviews of early Orc culture see it as woefully inferior, while at the same time noticing their advances in Bronze. Humans, in the meantime, promptly allied with the Orcs, and began to praise them for their achievements, while seeing their brutality as strength.

  • Dwarves begin to study Orc writing, as do Humans, while most Elves do not even bother to learn their dialect.

  • Half-Orcs are born, and accepted by both Human and Orc cultures.

  • Half-Dwarves are born, and accepted by most cultures, though most end up in Dwarven lands.

994 BCE

  • Queen Kali openly ponders declaring war on the Dwarvern kingdom, now recorded as the Kingdom of Uster due to whatever feud the Usterian Dwarves had somehow started, according to elven history.

  • However, in regards to human soldiers and settlers pressing against the Elven borders, she responds by telling them to stay out of Elven affairs.

  • The Jackal-People/Drow continue winning more victories, before their offensive gradually grinds to a halt, leading them into a long and bloody stalemate.

  • Tek begins sending out more expeditionary vessels.

  • Asrun begins studying in the ways of elven religion, and begins questioning the growing anti-human sentiment, along with the new anti-half elf sentiment.

  • Many newborn and toddler aged half-elves, thankfully are in the lands of King Gilebert.

  • Sigmund III begins being tutored in the ways of combat and politics, along with being taught to never trust elves.

  • Half-Dwarves are deemed physically stronger than most human toddlers, though those in the Kingdom of Uster are deemed slightly weaker than dwarf toddlers.

  • Parents of Half-Orc toddlers end up writing numerous books on the best way to raise a half-orc, though most of the Orc parents have different opinions than their significant human others.

  • The Chann’s headquarters is discovered by a group of Jackal-People/Drow, and many of their leaders are killed.

  • Sigmund the First, the elder of the three Sigmund brothers, writes a book about the life of the Heir Apparent, how Sigmund the Second’s adopted daughter’s talents both awe and worry him, and how Sigmund the Third is easily provoked.

  • Sigmund the Second is given the title of Supreme Warlord, and command over Gilebert’s armies.

  • ‘Princess’ Adiv, now age two, is doted upon by many servants, and visited by Tukai himself.

  • Numerous elves are displaced from their former lands, as Sigmund the Second begins setting up outposts on the newly conquered land.

  • However, some manage to integrate into human society, angering Queen Kali and a very too young to understand Elora, who begins releasing her own anti-human and anti-half elf propaganda, soon to be followed by her anti-dwarf, anti-half dwarf, anti-orc, anti-half orc, and anti-Jackal People propaganda.

  • Ambassador Claine tries to do as much damage control as possible, writing down about their harried attempts to preserve peace.

  • Invincible Ones win a battle against the Jackal-People, before proceeding to slaughter the elves commanding them and go on a massive rampage, before eventually being put down.

  • Plebes manages to make the connection between dark magic and an entire platoon of golems turning into mad berserkers.

  • Dragon breeding finally continues, but at a slow and labored pace.

979 B.C.E.

A gemstone is found by elven scientists. They name it Magiri, as it absorbs magic and amplified it to great degrees.

The Elves begin trying to find more Magiri, with other lands finding out. The races begin competing over them, many skirmishes beginning.

A Drow puts one Magiri in place of his own heart, becoming a Vampire Lord. Through testing, they discover it can ressurect things as revenants, who retain all original personality-and skills. They can also control other Vampires and use their eyes to see. They, however, have their hearts lose Dark Magic infusion in sunlight, killing them.

979 BCE

  • King Gilebert grows ill, leaving Sigmund the Second as primary heir.

  • The Vampires and Werewolves begin slight pressure for autonomy, though the civil war with the elves keeps them distracted.

  • The Drow/Jackal People are barely pushed back, before gaining ground in a new offensive.

  • As if things weren’t already terrible enough, a second tribe splinters from the Elven Kingdom, led by a carpenter. They flee into the nearby Jungle of Trees (aptly named at the time), along with disgruntled members of the military.

  • Queen Kali attempts to ‘reintegrate’ this tribe, leading to an unparalleled military disaster for her generals, as they are stuck fighting both the Drow and ‘Wood Elves’.

  • Princess Elora grows ill after a large banquet, and is bedridden for weeks. This is later revealed to be due to poison, though she does not die. However, no one can discern the culprit.

  • Claine is sent to negotiate with the ‘Wood Elves’, while continuing her ‘negotiations’ with Tukai.

  • As a result, the Drow enter into a pact of nonaggression with the ‘Wood Elves.’

  • Orc soldiers, sensing the Elven kingdom’s weakness, join their allies in taking slightly larger swathes of land, leading to an impromptu council of dwarves, orcs, and humans deciding who gets which of the elven lands. Ambassador Claine is eventually invited to the council, and gets very peeved once she realizes what they’re doing.

  • However, she is careful enough to suggest they consult the Queen, and convinces them to send the Queen a note over it.

  • However, had she bothered to see what they had written, and recalled the temperament of Kali, she may have suggested they edit it.

  • The Edict of Settlements is delivered to Queen Kali, who has just received word of numerous defeats. Numerous elven curses are thankfully untranslated.

  • Claine thankfully keeps her job and head, and is sent to negotiate peace treaties with the Drow, and Wood elves, though Kali’s terms of peace are more akin to ordering a surrender. Basically, they’re being allowed heavily limited autonomy if they accept, along with having to pay all reparations, recieve heavy taxes, and recieve little to no benefits besides autonomy. Heavily limited autonomy.

  • Asrun publishes his first book, Advice to the Queen on Leniency.

  • Tek begins forging iron, though it is much more expensive to forge than Bronze, having found its way to Tek from far off trade with Orcs.

  • Atcus finishes his publication, and begins publicly insulting orcs, only to recieve word of his half-orc heritage.

  • The automatons are field tested, and deemed a success by the dwarves, who begin making pilotable automatons.
