Suggestion: Evil Matriarch

Might I suggest a photo of the Other Mother from Coraline? She'd make a better illustration of the trope, in my opinion. I already have an image prepared if my request is accepted.

How about Ragyo Kiryuin from Kill la Kill?

I'd like to see some solid images being presented in this thread before we decide to change the image.

I don’t get a matriarchal feel from those.

The fact that they look basically the same age really isn't illustrating much.

Current is fine IMHO. Plus, Dramatic Lightning for emphasis.

Keep current. There has not even been an argument for why it should be replaced other than "this image is better" except the only suggestion so far has been from someone other than OP.

And the suggestion doesn't have the same "matriarch" vibe. I can see the evil bit, sort of, but not the matriarch — especially since the other person is not falling in line, so to speak.

6.2 looks evil but she doesn't look like a mom, so .

Well, the only other suggestion I had for Ragyo is when she threw away Ryuko but that might be too much of a spoiler...

Also, I think there's a confusion between evil matriarch and evil mother (been the latter the case of Coraline's evil mother) which are not the same.
