Fran Bow - it's an indie horror/adventure game on Steam, harkening back to Point And Click Adventure style games. The title character is a ten year old girl who sees her parents brutally murdered by a monster, and so you play her escaping an asylum to try and get back home to her aunt and cat, and try to discover why this monster is targeting Fran and her family.
There's a few Guide Dang It! moments, but overall it's a very good (and very creepy) game.
