Eggman's plan to have the Phantom Ruby create a second Sun and drop it on the Resistance seems... part overkill and part 'did not think this through' unless said Sun was significantly smaller XD It's so extreme I find it kinda funny, too.

Yakuzu you haven't played it yet so writing it off as trash seems a bit unfair? I get not liking some aspects shown like the story but thing about videogames is that you're supposed to play them, not simply watch others play.
Honestly you do seem overly critical of the game which fits in the earlier impression here among some you've had something against it from the start.

I mean, I have played the demo so you can't even say I haven't played it lol.
And even then, I haven't really been on board with this game since the beginning. I will say, just like I did in the main thread :V, I want to care about this game, but it's really giving me no reason to.
The story is questionable, and the level design is uninspired mixed in with cutscene QTE's. If you want me to say something positive about the game, it looks nice and most of the music is pretty good but the overall package is just....boring, annoyingly so after all of the hype they put into it.
I don't even have to play it at this point because everything I've seen just doesn't give a desire to. That's not saying the game is bad, if you enjoy it that's cool, but it's simply not my cup of tea.

@37 The comic's tropes list goes "Stress Test details how Chaos initially got roped into all this no thanks to Eggman using the Phantom Ruby to provoke him into a fit of rage. But before anything else can be revealed, he's instantly teleported away." and we see the Pachamac tribe from Sonic Adventure, too.
I guess the Ruby made it look like they went back in time and got Chaos. XD

The trope page got a lot of new additions about Infinite.
He used to be a hired mercenary, and Shadow is the reason he is the way he is because he took Infinite's team out and called him weak, leading him to vow to become stronger. Also his species is a jackal.
So basically it's all Shadow's fault XD.

That said, Infinite is really reminding me of Mephiles again. He has hatred of Shadow the Hedgehog and is connected through him somehow, they have similar powers, Mephiles does an Infinite sign in Sonic 06 and both are some of the most evil villains in the Sonic franchise as they both crave destruction.

Honestly my mindset for a while has been treating Forces' story as a parody of bad fanfiction. It makes everything a lot more enjoyable, even if just in a So Bad it's Good kinda way. I'll admit that's probably not what the writers were going for though
