The comic is less of a online webcomic and more of a downloadable digital comic, so I might have a little trouble finding a link.

That will work fine for the link. As for the suggestion itself, I think it's going to take enough panels to get the full context across to put it in "might as well be a page quote" range. Also, looking at the trope definition, I'm not sure that it's a good fit.

Was briefly confused by the second version. If the bottom left panel were cut and replaced with a black space, that would be appreciated.
