Sloth in the cardinal sin sense can be defined as 'a mind-state that gives rise to boredom, rancor, apathy, and a passive inert or sluggish mentation.' Xefros does have a lot of resignation to how he approaches his life. I think he says at one point that he needs Dammek to tell him what to do. Not really a judgement, there's some emotional abuse going on there, but that might be what the sloth symbolizes.

I'm stuck and I don't know if it's a glitch or if I just haven't figured out how to do what I need to yet. I just got past the portal and had the first chat. Trying to use the control panel gives me a suggestion to try and talk to the troll I just met again but I can't find an option for that and no matter what i do, I can't trigger a second chatlog. Help?

Did you pick up the paper?

EDIT: I reloaded a few times. Turns out it was a glitch.

Double posting but I finished the game. It was longer than I expected since from what I've seen a typical playthrough takes around three and a half hours whereas mine took a little under six. Admittedly though that's partially because i discovered a bug of sorts, got lost ingame a few times, and struggled with the second serpent password.

That said, I enjoyed it. I'm only a casual fan of Homestuck but so far Hiveswap is a good follow up. I might even say it's even better since it's more tightly plotted and things generally feel more consistent. I was pleasantly surprised that we got to play as more than just Joey and I love that we got to learn a bit more about Troll society. Joey and Xefros's friendship was a joy to experience and I'm looking forward to seeing it develop more over the next three Acts. Here's hoping those don't take as long to release.

Oh, so it worked in your laptop? Neat.

Btw, that glich you founded, that prevented you to talk to Xefros. That was the bug where the tablet don't go to your inventory, right? What was your solution for that? Just reloading worked? Or needed to be a save before the tablet?

I don't think I ever read Homestuck, but after seeing the PAX demo, I kind of want to look more into it?

Yes. And now I've seem a few non Homestucks who liked the game anyway, so if are already integrated, I think you will like it.

Yeah, there are some references to Homestuck characters and such, but you don't need to be familiar with it.

More or less. It froze once or twice during cutscenes and I didn't get to see the end credits in full because it froze once towards the end of them but for the most part it was fine, yeah.

Reloading didn't work,no. Had to reload to a save I made just before activating the portal. I think using an item on the tablet might be what causes the glitch? Because doing that automatically triggered the first chatlog and didn't give me an option to pick it up at all. When I loaded back to an old save because just reloading didn't work and then chose to interact with the tablet without using an item on it (I have a habit of trying out items on everything I can before interacting with it normally.) I was able to pick it up just fine and proceed as normal.

Oh, that is a very unfortunate bug. Trying random items on everything is half the fun.

I will try to find out if there is a place I can submit a bug report, so I can tell What Pumpkin about it.

Finished the game. Really enjoyed it. The actual "puzzle" aspect is fairly simple, but the writing and art is great. I captures some of the feel that Homestuck had while still feeling like it's its own thing.

@Joe: It's worth a read. Very long, and perhaps not to be read on a phone with the Flash animations and all. That will get more complicated with Adobe's thing.

Also: 3.0 GHZ needed. RIP me. Oh well.

You know all those 4/13 posts with people putting Homestuck cosplay on at 12:01 on 4/13?

Yeah, I was in Breath hoodie on Friday, which is when I started playing the game (had taken the day off for unrelated reasons).
