I think Marvel's official stance is that the properties themselves are out of canon, characters created for the comics are in canon. So ROM Spaceknight isn't part of the Marvel Universe, but his supporting cast and the Dire Wraiths are.
Welp, here I go.
My various fanfics.Posted as well. Looks like I had more writing energy in me than I thought.
Incidentally, the way I've decided to tackle this is to refer to Mantra in female pronouns when interacting in public, and male pronouns when in private, at least for the time being.
Unless they have retconned things since I last read a Marvel comic (and admittedly its been a few years- since about One More Day, and that's no coincidence) all characters Marvel published in such a way as to incorporate them officially into their universe (as opposed to never crossing over, as was the case with Tarzan) did and still do officially exist in their universe; they are just never officially referred to by name anymore. That's copyright for you, folks. Anyway for our purposes, Rom, Godzilla, Conan etc. DO exist in this universe and we can use their correct names. But sadly not Tarzan.
Also I'm seriously considering making our first major menace (not necessarily a "story arc", more like the Big Bads behind the scenes) The Secret Society of Supervillains- which would be composed of all the Major villains from Marvel & DC (Luthor, Dr. Doom etc) allying themselves (tenuously) to bring their foes down using a small army of villains (The Injustice League, Masters of Evil etc.)

Kkohoho, I don't mean to be rude, but you've gotta write more than a sentence or two. It gives people almost nothing to work with.
My various fanfics.Well, in this case, I'm literally just asking Sijo to explain just what Duggan's talking about. The only other thing I could do at this point is describe just how much Cap wanted to ask Duggan about the giant beastie rampaging around town or what he thought the 'stuff' really was, but at this point, there just isn't that much for Cap to do. (Well, things that make sense. I could make Cap rip off his clothes and do a tabledance, but I don't think that would exactly be something anyone asked for.)
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundYou could show Cap's thought process, his confusion about an aforementioned giant monster, his evaluation of this new little team that's coalescing around him. It doesn't have to specifically be the things Cap does or says in relation to the person talking to him at that exact moment.
My various fanfics.Well, I know that. I just didn't feel it was necessary. Though I guess it's down more to personal preference. I've done some writing over the years, mainly in fanfics, (one of which I'm still writing now as it so happens,) and as my style's evolved, I've had a tendency to basically either tone down or all together do away with those kinds of descriptive paragraphs that get into the characters' heads, mainly because I just find them more distracting than anything else. That doesn't mean they aren't there at all because you still kind of need them, but if they are, then they're only there for a sentence or two, or maybe a short paragraph. To me, going into the character's head like that and telling the reader every little thing they're thinking just brings the story to a screeching halt, and if you're going to do it, it should still relate in some way to what's currently happening rather than going off on a tangent.
That said, I guess I could throw a little something in there. In fact, I have described Cap's thought process before in the RP; I was just more focused on asking Dugan for information more than anything else in the last couple of posts. At the very least, I'll keep it in mind. But like Nman said, I don't see any real reason to throw something in now. There's just no real need. Brevity is the soul of wit after all.

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundEh. I guess as a writer and an Rper it's my preference. If I write less than three lines I feel like I haven't actually contributed anything.
My various fanfics.Well that's certainly not passive-aggressive.
Anyway, if you look through the RP, you will see that KK typically tends to write a lot. There's no need to stir stuff up when we get to the phase in the RP where it's just like, going up to the questgiver NPC and being like "yo whattup?"
Sorry, didn't mean for it to come across that way.
My various fanfics. And I don't have a problem with that. But I'd honestly prefer just one line that actually matters in some way as opposed to ten that don't, or at least not as much. That's a bit extreme, but I think you get the idea.

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundAs I mentioned before, *everyone* is free to write their posts as long as they want. If I had to require one thing tho, it would be to make sure their meaning is clear. That should not be much of a problem however.
Shark, the giant is like 50 times as large as Apollo- and just as strong. Even if we agree the hero can pull him up by say, an ear or a finger, he's also putting himself (once again) within range of its attacks.
(The advantage the heroes have, is that it is not as fast as any of them.)
If you say so.
My various fanfics. So I was rereading Fletcher and Wu's Black Canary, and I'm not saying there should be an arc that somehow works Dazzler, Lila Cheney, Black Canary, and The Mary Janes into it...wait, that's exactly what I'm saying. Heck, maybe we could throw the Music Meister into the mix too.
Black Canary had her own series? I thought she just had those Action Comics backups and Birds of Prey. (And even that's still technically a team book.) When was that?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-Around2015 to 2016. In it, she was lead singer for a rock band and they went on adventures and dealt with government conspiracies giving people superpowers (including Canary herself).
...Isn't she already supposed to have superpowers? Or is this DC being funky with its' continuity again?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundIt was post-Flashpoint, so Dinah Drake's new backstory involved the government and her ex-husband Kurt.
...Of course.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-Aroundlol I meant for Bob to try and gesture to Dugan that he was referring to Tabitha, not trying to get Tabitha's attention

Death's Head is definitely canonical. Not the Transformers, except maybe the Marvel Comics version. Despite an appearance by Spider-Man, that version seems to have been rendered non-canon (unlike Godzilla, who had *plenty* of evidence of having existed, and still does.)
In any case, I want to keep this as M/DC specific as possible; Transformers are cool but very complicated and I'm already spinning multiple plates here.
And yes, I posted that the AIM troops were basically taken down by now. But hang on, some people might drop by with questions for Cap...
