I'm not clear on what exactly is happening in this forest. Is there literally a giant honeycomb covering everything? I would presume that would completely kill off all the plant life underneath (and all the animal life along with it).
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Yes, though there are still bits between things where clearings would have been, ranging from slot canyons to wider areas, so theres still a floor but the trees are absolutely swallowed up. I dont imagine it could take up too much space or the bees wouldnt have access to flowers and such, and it wasnt immediate, so perhaps some critters could make their way in, especially burrowing types.

So after consulting with someone else i know, im thinking carnivorous plants and fungi, and that the soil wouldnt be very nutrient rich
Im getting the feeling this place would have a very memorable smell...

magic bees around the size of squirrels and in some cases larger have swallowed up some forrests in an area of the world where magic is all through the ecosystem. first question is what would the floor be like, leaves may have fallen on the forest floor long ago but its been a very long time since that has happened, is it just dirt? or is there solidified honey that has dripped from the honeycomb and such which has crystalized and eventually fermented, what does this do to the soil, would any plants logically make it in, they gotta get their nectar from somewhere right. um, i dont think there is a second question, at least not yet.
