Sun is visibly shaken by Erik's, er.. absorption but he's not able to dwell on that for long. The commotion caused by the spider quickly draws his attention. While he doesn't go out, he does go over to the window to get a closer look at the spider before it climbs too far away.
.. Oh my... I've seen big spiders but never one that big..

off the shits"...Well, I guess we're not gonna get any answers standing around here. Come on, Vicki" Laura says, before going outside to see what the rest of the student body is doing with the spider.
Vicki nods and follows, although she's not entirely sure what she'd be able to do to help.
Stupid doomed timeline...Christian finishes his running down the hall as Tasar lets both into the room. He briefly spends a moment to catch his breath looking up at him with a frown. He shakes his head as he speaks, clearly anxiously. "That.. This.. I didn't sign up to fight giant spiders! I mean.. I'd like to help but I dont think I really could do much anyway."
He looks unsure, clearly trying to think about that if he could do much. "Well.. I guess I could've tried to provide cover for the others... Maybe I should.. No.. There were a lot of people, that noise.. I don't know if I could even concentrate like that. Let alone.." Insecurity and doubt were a definite plague on him.
The college kid going over to his bed throwing his backpack on one end. It bounces ones. Chris then sits down on the bed.
Tasar follows Christian into the room slowly, before closing and ensuring the door is locked. He then goes over to the window, and looks outside for a moment before drawing the shutters. Their room was opposite the spider nonsense, but there was no reason not to check, just to be sure. There was nothing stopping the spider from having an accomplice, after all. Finally feeling secure in the room, Tasar chuckles and sits down on his bed.
"I understand what you mean: there's only so much any one person can do in this world. It doesn't stop most people from trying to overstep their bounds, though... even if it means getting everyone else in trouble."
There is a touch of resentment in Tasar's voice, especially as he fumbles with the thin chain hanging around his neck. It's remarkably well arranged when he's not messing with it to be hard to see against his skin.

Just how dangerous were these things anyway?
Not wanting to sit still for too long - especially when she spent a good part of the day doing just that - Dahlia went up to one of the people who looked like they were on the welcoming committee, specifically, the guy with the glasses who looked like he knew what he was doing.
"So, this sorta thing normal around here?"
Tasar has his key in the door when he notices Christian making his way towards him. Before he gets close enough that Tasar can make out his facial expression, he shrugs and asks Christian why he came back up to their room nonchalantly.
"So, didn't want to go fight the spider? Or did you just want to get some sleep. I can't blame you either way, this place is off-beat even by my standards, and I've lived in this city for enough years to get used to it."
