I'll not post images, but I'll just say this. Next episode, COOLEST guy is back.

I may even say he may contend with REGENDO as the 'Savior of France'

Did she kill them of her own agency or was it in the confines of badass girlfriend actions?

How much of her character, backstory or motivations was shown?

Also damn best characters are dead, a moment of silence for them. sad

The weakness of the anime, due to its format and shorter episodes, were that I think it would be more beneficial if you already know their default legends. It's bad for those not quite familiar with the background, but for those who knew, it becomes a passable stuff.

Back to SEMIRAMIS WHEN for FGO, I guess...

Also... did Shakespeare die too?

[up][up]I will check tumblr to see how much of her character was left out in the anime from LN but given what I keep seeing there was probably a lot of little things left out.

There probably rushing now given they probably spent to much time on jack, which by what I hear the LN version was not much better and jack was probably the character with most closet adapted character from LN from what I understand

[up]After reading differences with LN, I can safely say that while Jack was 'wasted', she ended up fulfilling something else: Not as a full-fledged Servant, but as a development piece for Atalanta, whose development would be quite different, LN or anime, had Jack not die the way she did before.

Yeah by what I heard Atalanta was done better in LN also

I prefer to say that both of them gave out different meanings, but I can still make sense on both sides without preferring any. But I will say that the anime's shortage of episodes means that they had to compress them, which means, it would hurt newcomers (back before Episode 22, I think there's a lot who'd bash Atalanta for going nuts because 'HOW DARE U GET MAD AT MUH WAIFU JEANNE'.) But I could withstand it... personally.

Atalanta seriously rises up to one of my best Fate waifu, next to Medusa and the gal I constantly try to save up my summons for. You know who it is, so probably it's not that hard to guess. But if you insist: Brynhildr

On another topic, I've been... wondering if somehow the Apocrypha rendition of Jeanne became something of a Base-Breaking Character. As far as I know, she's a very popular waifu character that could probably rival Artoria and Umu. But I've been kind of hearing negative stuffs about her Apo rendition, and I'm not sure if it's actually any better than her GO presentation, even when you put aside the more popular Jalter. Was 'hooking up with Sieg' a factor why she's viewed negatively (this may confirm if Sieg did have Black Hole Sue elements that it took out Jeanne's more interesting ones that could be displayed in FGO) or was there other reasons if you took out Sieg out of the picture?

And was Jalter way more liked aside of people liking Tsundere trash talkers... because she absolutely had nothing to do with Sieg?

Makes me wonder how Jalter would react if given Sieg... Hell, now I'm having hopes that Jalter could have a role in any moments of Apocrypha event in FGO!

Also fun question for those who already played FGO: Septem!Umu or Sieg?

My experience with Jeanne was that I played Orleans in Grand Order before watching Apocrypha and she was terrible there. I strongly felt her character lacked humanity. She was too goal-oriented express any actual human feelings towards what was happening, didn't have anything remotely close to a character flaw and her insistence that she is no saint felt like just ridiculous and unfounded dumb humbleness. The Dragon Witch, on the other hand, aside from being an amazing trashtalker as you already mentioned, had very tangible emotions and understandable reactions to everything. She remained easily as the most enjoyable character in the Grand Order story until America gave me Nightingale.

In Apocrypha, Jeanne is mostly the same boring character, but not as bad because here at least she gets a few comedy moments and is not seen as this untouchable figure atop a pedestal. But what got her Rescued from the Scrappy Heap for me was her speech to Atalanta when exorcising Jack. Atalanta asks how can she call herself a saint if she forsakes suffering children and Jeanne answer is "I never called myself a saint", followed by her explaining her time at the war and how she killed many there, not as a saint but as a Necessary Evil for the greater good in God's will. That was intense, interesting and finally gave meaning to the "I'm no saint" that annoyed me so much in FGO. If had watched or read this before playing FGO, I'm sure I would have enjoyed Jeanne's character a lot more.

[up][up] I think this is because of history nuts who knew Jeanne history and are mad at this portrayal of her.

So do you think they ever put other male apocrypha Servants in fate/grand order.

Well, who haven't they put in yet?

Amakusa Shiro and Karna aren't out in English, but they're coming down the line.

Aside from them, the only male Apocrypha Servants Grand Order doesn't have are Chiron, Avicebron, and Achilles.

Come to think of it, why ISN'T Achilles in yet? When you think "Greek hero" he's gotta be near the top of the list.
