Of all Fighting Game Stories, Mortal Kombat probably has the best bad Kung Fu movie stories.

If I had to pick between the two, then I'd prefer FighterZ's method over Infinite's.
Welp, we found our first true infinite.
Apparently when you hit someone with a Smash attack right after Recoome's Eraser Cannon, if you tag someone in right after the Smash attack then hitstun decay never happens for the rest of the combo. Characters like 21 who have loops that are only held back by hitstun decay now have a way to use it indefinitely.
Guarantee you this is gonna be patched out soon but have fun while it lasts.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughOh yeah, Xrd's story mode's definitely one of the better ones. Sure, you don't get to play it, but I think sacrificing gameplay for a coherent narrative and good character moments is fine in that case.
Otherwise you'd be forced to play fights where the person you're controlling's just going to lose anyways!
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Blazblue :V
You get good character interactions, and most of the cast already hate each other, so justifying fights is easy.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I still haven't beaten the story mode, but the real meat of it is the character interactions.
When are you ever going to see Cell trash talking the cast Or the Ginyu Force having a pose off with Gotenks ever again?
Arc has also had a good idea on how the cast would interact with each other as well.
Infinite had good idea but fail to execute.
For one, who's bright idea was it to start the story halfway through?
It came down to pacing and budget. The story mode had a whole lot of very different characters they didn't have time to develop, so they just started things off at a point where the introductions were out of the way and the actual plot could happen.
Since Fighterz's plot is mostly pretty simple and the animation is mostly nonexistent, they can just focus on character interaction at their own pace without breaking budget.
At risk of getting off topic, what I liked about Blazblue’s story modes, at least in CT and CS, was that it remembered it was a visual novel and gave us lots of prose that was fun to read.
Prose all but disappeared from CP onwards because they were like ‘oh we wanna make it like an anime’ and I was like ‘please no, don’t make it like an anime, make it like a visual novel’.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiI think that's as much because of a different localization team as it was a change in storytelling of the series.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Sorta related, Android 21 and the clone fighters are coming to Super Dragon Ball Heroes.
There's also going to be special DBFZ cards too! Their designs seem to replicate their transition clashes.

Gavan, Let's get jiggy!yay
Nah, I'm joking, it's just not for me. I'm sure some will get joy from it.
The Zero Goku Plan just became even tankier.

Goddamn, Rugal, go easy on the roids.
Japanese Diaperbaby Broly is so jolly.

Broly looks jolly when he fights, so I'd say it's just as good a fit as English Broly.
It's been 3000 years…Man I am gonna love hearing Vic & Sonny's voices in this game.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I wonder how much Vic Mignogna hates his job ever since Broly became such a Breakout Character.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.It is fun how much he enjoys wrecking shit.
I mean, all the other guys hurt people for one reason or another, but Broly's sheer joy at mopping the floor with your face can't be undersold.
One Strip! One Strip!10 Years later and he still regrets this decision...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Bardock is really boring. Maybe people really into the game can tell me what makes him his own thing but I can't see it.
Seems like his thing is that he's very focused on physical strikes with almost no projectiles.
So he's a much less interesting Hit?
Weird angle to take him, especially since all his supers are projectiles anyway, so if that was the idea it's not clear at all.
From a competitive perspective, he has a lot of interesting stuff it seems. He has Rashid's Spinning mixer, and he can link both of his Level 1 Supers into each other.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Bardock's giving me a sort of Sol and Ragna vibe with the emphasis on rushdown, the lacking of any strong projectile's, a super that can hit twice and close the gap, etc.

That’s essentially what it is, yes, and I don’t mind it at all.
Mortal Kombat X’s is still the ideal of course, but even if that had no gameplay, I’d still have a dumb but fun kung fu action flick to go through.
