Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

So I've noticed that a few of the pages have had the tropes grouped into seperate folders, or even seperate pages. Just wondering, is there a rule of thumb for how many tropes a work should have before being divided into seperate folders or pages? What about characters? How many tropes does a character need to have before he gets his own Page?

Character pages anyone can start with no problems, general rule of thumb is start off with at least three and let Wiki Magic take its course.

Subdividing pages is a little more loosely defined. No specific number is given because the size of the trope descriptions vary. It's all about making the page content more clearly accessible, if it takes 30 seconds to scroll through the page top to bottom it incites Archive Panic. Page folders are for mid-range pages and splitting off into separate trope pages are for the really long lists.

There is a technical upper limit to article size, but you'll get warned about that if you try to edit one. It's likely that your browser will start to lag out before that happens, though, and it's definitely time to split or folderize by then.
