Caling dibs on a Samurai.
I feel like a post apocalypse could certainly be an interersting concept, but you should avoid too much of a sandbox,

Good to be backI would be interested in any iteration of a Highlander RP.
You've a Watcher in me. I still have like so many plans for Clayton.
Interesting. Maybe I should start thinking of a last name that starts with "K".
Could I be a Hunter?
I don't see why not.
Depends on which setting we end up going with, but if we're going with the 'modern' one the Hunter order would be all but dead at this point with Horton having kicked the bucket.
I know, I figured there would be a few acolytes or followers left over. I'm not a huge Highlander fan - I read about the lore, I think it's really cool. - I just thought playing an shunned extremist that attacks immortal beings that only use blades and can only be killed by decapitation would be an interesting exercise in creativity. And also really cool.
little late here, but I think I can work with a small-ish playerbase if you guys are all gonna stick with this.
If you're all still interested, I'll go and make a signup in the not too distant future
I think postapocalyptic could be interesting, suppose we go for the fallout route? The Immortals are still alive and now, humans have just come out of their bunkers?
Good to be backAlright my dudes, I'm working on a signup that should be up within the next day and a bit, we're going with a modern city as the setting, and for those familiar with the series already, we're doing a continuity similar to the TV Series.
It's that time of the year again folks, wherein I make my annual Highlander RP interest check.
For those not in the know, Highlander is a series of sci-fi/fantasy films and a TV show based on the concept of immortal warriors duking it out throughout time until only one them remains.
The Highlander WIki has a great rundown on how Immortals work in the setting if you're interested but don't want to watch one of the movies (if you do, I recommend avoiding Highlander 2 and the Source at all costs. Endgame is passable but not great, same goes for 3. The animu spinoff film is pretty alright.)
My idea for a game would involve players playing Immortals who could choose to fight each other, or face a villain of the week (who I'd be in control of) or just interact with old friends (flashbacks encouraged) or get to know mortals in a big ol' sandboxy city. And if being Immortal seems like too much hassle for you, I'm cool if people wanna play Mortals too, either as Watchers, allies or people snooping around after catching on that someone they've seen in old as fuck photos is apparently their next-door neighbour.
If you have any questions let me know. I'm aware that Highlander doesn't have much of a following any more, but if there's enough interest I'm more than happy to run a game.
Alternatively, if you're interested in me kicking it up a notch, I'm more than happy to take a page from Highlander: The Search for Vengeance and stick the whole thing in a post-apocalyptic future.
