What did they do?!!?
I... haven't seen the movie yet
I won't tell you. it would just ruin the movie for you.
If a person actively enters a spoiler and asks to be spoiled, you don't get to make the decision about whether being spoiled ruins the movie for that person.
A lot of people become more excited for a thing when they know what happens and can anticipate it, myself included. I actually had zero intention of ever watching the first one - in large part due to people never shutting up about Groot - until after I learned about the dance battle climax and called bullshit.
So please, tell us poor forsaken Americans.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyThey ripped out my heart and made my cry like a little child during the finale. Are you sure you want to know why and how? That is a giant spoiler. Along the line of telling you the fate of the Supersoldiers in Civil War in advance.
If you want a less important spoiler...there is a dance in the beginning again. And it is hilarious!

I think I know: It's that Yondu dies isn't it?
This song needs more love.Yep.....I really don't handle it well....
In retrospect, I kinda expected this, but I'm still gonna miss him.
What about the five ending credit sequences you were talking about in the main MCU thread?

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? From what I've read (I have not seen the movie, keep in mind), the end-credits involve: Kraglin taking up Yondu's arrow and fin, Starhawk putting a team together, teenage Groot, Adam Warlock, and confirming Stan Lee as a Watcher.
This song needs more love. He's not a watcher, he's an astronaut that got stranded and has been talking to three Watchers. But yeah, those were definitely Watchers.
For the record, Yondu has some completely awesome scenes, great jokes, a heartwarming backstory with Quill, and a funeral scene of put on par with Spocks from Wrath of Khan.
OK, so what about the after credits scenes?
Also, how was the villain? Flat like a standard Marvel villain, or actually pretty good?

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?More like what you would currently get from a Disney movie...which is kind of funny, because Ronan was pretty much like the classic Disney villain. Now we got a modern Disney villain.
The Funeral scene was cruel! I kept expecting him just sitting up again.

I misspoke. What I described were the after credits scenes. As far as I've read, the most significant cameo in the credits themselves is the Grandmaster.
This song needs more love.
So what, a hidden twist villain?
Ah, nice.
What kind of Adam Warlock cameo are we talking here?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?(Again, this is all second-hand), Ayesha mentions a creation that will destroy the Guardians and there's a golden cocoon. She names it "Adam".

This song needs more love.So she's probably gonna be a returning villain, then?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? There were also a lot of "I am groot" in the end credits.
Also, as much as I love the movie, I have two nitpicks...I think I would have preferred it if Peter and Yondu had shared a longer scene before the whole thing goes down. Also, there are some timeline issues....mainly that "Germans love David Hasselhoff" didn't become a thing until 1989, Peter left earth in 1988.
In this universe maybe. We have no idea how it went down in the marvel universe.
And I'd say that a longer reunion scene would have actually weakened it. Yondus whole arc is that he is afraid to show he cares, or to show weakness. He couldn't admit he really cared about Quill until he knew he was going to die. So we'd either have Hindu being abusive heaped on their relationship, souring us to him, or have him open up too soon.
Why are people leaving their lines blank? This is a spoiler thread.
Also, I'm glad they didn't cop out and bring Yondu back. He died like a hero, and his death was dignified, emotional, and meaningful. It was sorely lacking from the MCU til now, and it's great to see they can do it.
I was thinking less of a longer reunion scene and more along the lines of Peter and Yondu encountering each other on what I assume is Tortuga planet, between them stealing the batteries and him encountering daddy Planet.
Much as I loved it I did have a few issues, mostly that the whole "Taserface" joke really wasn't as funny as they seemed to think it was, though it did get a chuckle. In fact I would say the humour in this one (whilst still very funny) seemed to be trying a bit too hard compared to the first.
I liked how they didn't just repeat things exactly as they were from the first film - the actual Guardians as a team probably spent more time apart than as a whole. Drax and Mantis was brilliant, Rocket and Yondu (and Kraglin) too. I had an inkling that Ego was probably going to be a bad guy but Kurt Russell made the character interesting even if Pete's arc didn't do much for me personally. Gamora and Nebula's whole arc seemed a bit rushed but it will be interesting to see if they have any actual plans for Nebula when Thanos does return or is she just going to be a wild card.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."For some reason I was laughing the hardest about the cut off thumb. I really don't know why, it was so random and created so - many - questions.
So....I guess that means that Groot actually died and we now have a different Groot????
Also...this is kind of a random observation, but do you know what really made me hat the villain? The moment I wanted him crushed and suffering for eternity? When he destroyed the damned Walkman!
So uh, not going to bother using spoiler tags in spoiler thread, so uh warning don't read if ye don't want to get spoilers. Well, okay, gonna spoiler tag one thing because I'm sure someone would complain if I don't spoiler tag that part
So I liked this movie much more than I liked first one, though that one was over praised It was stylish and amused me enough to grin a lot and I did like what they did with the villain.
Like, the movie's humor is all about explaining the joke and pointing out obvious things aloud, but movie never bothered to explain it aloud how his plan is essentially all about his huge ego. Like they could have really hammered down it as joke, but they never mentioned the obvious pun to make And its really clear it was "all about me" to him even if he seems to be delusional enough to blue and orange morality levels(like, while he did avoid telling about his plans right away(and in front of his friends), he genuinely seems to think that Peter should want to help him make everything like himself, its like he thinks Peter as part of him or something). Speaking of which, I like how he kept crossing the line when you thought he couldn't do it any further, found that humorous in really dark way, the way he reveals he gave her the cancer on purpose like if its something obvious to do makes something really alien mentality wise. Like how fucked up you have to be that you kill who you love so you won't deviate from your super villain plan.

Just so that we lucky ones have a place to discuss the movie freely until the poor Americans catch up. Everything goes!!! If you haven't see the movie yet, you have no business to be here!!!
With all this said....
HOW COULD THEY!!!! I am still reeling. Why is Marvel currently crushing my heart at every turn?
