Glad that Selesia has Vogelchevalier back. And a car, to boot. Looking forward to what Suruga has in store for Blitz too.

But yeah, pretty much a boring setup episode.

The ep is out.

No sight of Charon or the H-game girl. Altair reveals that she knows, alongside a bunch of new crazy-ass powers and some minor fourth wall awareness. Syo's Stand is basically a take on Hanged Man. Magane is back to harass Sota. Alicetaria is actually planning to turn on Altair, though I wouldn't be surprised if Altair knew that (her pegasus also makes motorbike noises).

And finally, Blitz shows up at the HQ to have a talk with Suruga. Turns out, if you're a god of a story, you can bring the dead back to life. Say hi to Erina again.

Yep, gods can revive their creations. Though, I'm sure there will be a nice and believable explanation as to how that happened with Erina... Plebs need to accept it for it to stick, after all.

In any case, that doesn't actually have to be Erina. Man, the Creations need to step up their game because Suruga crushed it this episode.

Well holy cow, Altair is just too OP it seems. Even with their buffs, nothing the heroes do can faze her. She could just kill them all now if it wasn't an anticlimax.

Though I still don't really understand why would she even want to kill them. From what I got of her plan, the more creations the better, no mater if they are with or against her, they weaken the World just the same. Thinning the herd seems counterproductive.

You know, I totally get Blitz grievances, and Suruga doesn't help the situation by being totally unapologetic about messing with his world for entertainment. Compared to that, whining about how hard it is to draw seems bit pathetic.

If this series lacks one thing it's an actually examination of how mind numbingly horrific would it be to find out that the fictional stories we create are real.

Oh, and Suruga plan has a major flaw in it, namely that Altair is invincible and knows everything they do.

Ah, but Altair probably doesn't know everything everyone does. The ability she showed off is only good for keeping tabs on the other creations.

And here's some else fairly insidious about there plan: by putting this on such a big stage, they've given Altair a canon. No more getting random new abilities every thing somebody makes a youtube video for her. And from there, they can start finding believable weaknesses to write into her.

Damn, this was FUN. Especially the part with revealing spoilers.

Charon is here, and he looks brainwashed as fuck.

Still, Altair must have a back-up plan. With Blitz and Sho on heroes' side and with h-girl having superpowers now - boy, that jab at otakus was good - she only has Charon left. Her Holopsicon ensures that she knows about Magane shenanigans, so she must have something planned.

I mean, Sota is yet to introduce his character.

You could replace all of Magane dialogue with static noise for all I understood her.

Otaku will apparently accept anything as long as the girls wear revealing clothes. Re:Creators saying it like it is.

Pfft, spoilers save the day!

Altair can control destiny? Her powers are super vague, but I guess that's by design.

Just when they though they could win Charon enters the scene, in a mecha that looks sinister as hell.

I wonder what other Fun Altair has prepared for them.

Okay, Charon's mech looks sinister in that lighting but ignoring that: I'd probably watch Vogelchevalier just for the mech designs. They're pretty cool, honestly.

The general thrust of Magane's jabbering was that she was manipulating Sota into contradicting her so that she could use her power to ensure that whatever Sota's planning will work no matter the audience thinks of it.

Also I think 'destinies' are just what Altair's swords are called.

But: Charon alone isn't enough to turn the tide here, so I can't help but think things are going way too well for the good guys considering it's only episode 18.

Yeah, Charon won't be an obstacle for longer than an episode. Altair was already nearly destroyed, so I don't think they're giving her an extra episode for a "climactic battle".

So the way I see it:

• Either Altair stops playing around and unleashes some Terrifying Shit
• Meteora flips out, drunk with her newfound power and unleashes some Terrifying Shit
• Magane does Terrifying Shit for shiggles (probably not; she seemed content with the way she left things at)
• Or Sota does... something. Messes up the character creation, though I'm not sure how that would affect anything.

It's almost funny how Marine and Suruga are secretly jealous of, and praise each other's drawing skills to the point of self-deprecation. I wonder how they'd react if they found out about that.

A thought came over me. What if Magane is lying?

What if she didn't actually do anything and Sota is about to blow the whole plan up into smithereens with his unacceptable character?

Or he accidentally creates Altair #2

So the preview for Ep 19 is out and it looks like we'll be having Altair vs. Everyone Present going on.

Charon's not even going to be a minor roadblock, is he? Which of course raises a question if Altar v. Everyone will be dragged out for a longer while or if there will be something else going on.

As least they live on in their actual stories....right? Right?!

Oh no, this is only the beginning.

Selesia's death means one thing: It's open season. No Creation save Meteora and Magane is safe now; and given that Altair can now turn the damage inflicted upon her right back at the guy, this can turn real ugly real fast.

If it's any consolation, Meteora's reaction seemed genuine, so we can put the "evil Meteora" theory to rest. Cold comfort, given that everybody save Kanoya is conveniently near bloodthirsty Altair now...
