(Polly rushes for the kitchen. She can be heard shouting for a few seconds before she and Shoney return with several pre-made sandwiches and Berries.)

From all of us at th' hotel here, I wish ye luck on yer journey. (Polly says to everyone as she hands the food to Marsha and Marlon. She turns to Zebediets.) Let me know how me Richie is doin' if ye cross paths with 'im, aye?

[She's leaving now. For Foxfell, she says, but that's not really that important. I can only hope this ends up where I think it's going to go, but the tone in her voice just...]

[...maybe more crocodile tears...but...lord, I just hope I haven't made some kind of mistake. She may need this for now, but I wouldn't want her to go...would I have pushed her to that?]

[Before she can get too far, I walk over, bend down, and hug her.]

Gosh, Foxy's really itchin' ta get goin'... (Marsha remarks as she eats a Berry and begins following Finley.) Well, let's get goin' I guess.

(Sunny follows and turns to the first person she sees, which turns out to be Noriaki.) Is your friend all right? (She asks him.) She seems far more anxious to go to Foxfell than even I am.

Stay safe out there, aye? (Polly says.)

Noriaki begins following as soon as he sees Finley set off.

Glad to be leaving Slak Rock, that's for sure.

Zeb says goodbye to Polly and Shoney, then follows the others.

(I took a sandwich and followed the pack. I could definitely tell the fox wants out ASAP and I couldn't agree more. Might not be for the same reason, but it don't matter to me.)

Róisín is still in too much of a morning stupor to really comprehend much of what's going on. Her thought processes end up as follows - I'm with these people now, so I might as well follow them.

Affluent Area (Yesterday)

*Sarah returns the hug, and despite her days of pathological lying, he's liable to feel a single tear fall onto his shoulder and seep through his fur. A crack in her facade, in the end she really doesn't want to leave the party, but she simply can't stomach being Jani...Milly...whatever anymore. Eventually, though, they have to break the hug. She has no words, she can't even look Eliot in the eye, she simply walks out into the forest to sleep among the trees*

and that's the last we'll see of Sarah until the boat ride to Foxfell ;p

Yeah...not gonna lie, it almost feels like dis was just a waste of time comin' here since we never fixed da problem dat we were drug over here for anyway. (Marsha says to Marlon.)

(Sunny is confused, but nods to Noriaki and continues to follow the others.)

"I hear you in some ways, but everything that happened last night was certainly not a waste of time for me."

[As she walks towards the forest, I feel the little wet stop on my shoulder. I look on as she moves into the forest...I can't help but feel the sting of finality right now. Again, I can only hope I'm wrong. I turn around and go back to trudging through town, looking for the others...]

Hmm...good point, Deets...dair was some good dat came outta dis, I reckon. (Marsha says.)

(I responded to Marsha.) We stopped a serial killer and got a lot of money for it. That's a positive to me at the very least.

"Based on what Madam Finley has said about it in the past, it sounds like a lovely place", Noriaki commented.

...I sit up, pull the sheets back a little, shake my head. What an odd dream...it felt like a memory from years off, but...I was a Braixen for some reason? Hell if I know...I lean over to see you. Heh...you're still asleep...I give you a little kiss on the cheek before exiting the bed.

Getting my satchel from off the coat rack, I go through it to make sure I got everything I'll need for the day...documents...books...pocket watch. I pick it up out of the bag, rubbing the perimeter of it with my finger. I smile...this thing's older than me, and it's still ticking along. I flip up the lid to it and check the time...7:30. It's gonna be a long walk...

Opening the door, thermos of warm, steaming coffee in hand, I notice that it's snowing, my breath pooling into a cloud before me. Almost everything is covered with a thin, white powder...the grass, the cobblestone road... After a while to take in the image, I close the door again and walk back to my room, pulling a heavy coat and a scarf from that same rack. If there were some way I could heat myself up from the inside, I'd totally do it, but for now, I just have these...I put on the coat, wrap the scarf around my neck, and head back towards the door, taking a sip from my thermos...

The egg...thinking about it makes me excited. It's been incubating for a while...we still need to walk about with it, get the little guy or gal excited, but not in this weather. Some eggs like the cold, but I doubt an Electric type would. It kinda stinks that you have to stay home with it while I'm out working, but you insisted we didn't need to pay for someone's services.

The countryside slopes up, as it should. For a while, I walk as the rest of the world falls away behind me. This is the way to work...this is the way it just is. I greet a cloud, lick it. I keep walking up and up until I get to a small meteoroid, suspended on chains with no clear anchoring point. I walk inside, knocking on the door. Opening it, I see you and smile...

[...morning...I stretch out my limbs... It's nice that I found the others as quick as I did...it would've been kinda bad, me aimlessly walking about as night crawled in. My bulbous tail flicks up out from underneath the bedsheets..."Smeargle pride, bitches". I snicker to myself...such a random thing for my to remember.]

[Sliding out of bed, I start to recall my dream a little...I was walking, it was snowing (rather nice, I may add), the world went sideways, and...I could've sworn I saw a familiar face. Maybe it was more a patchwork than anything...I've heard that tends to happen sometimes with dreams. Getting out of bed, I walk over to my stuff...put on my shawl, my bag...thankfully, I didn't destroy the bed this time (not that I really feel all that guilty about it...that buffoon can pay for another set of sheets with his blood money). I then open my door and walk towards commotion...]

Finley halts in her motion, looking behind to see Eliot. "Good, you're just in time. Come on. We're leaving."

Yeah, uh, Foxy wants us ta hurry, Sparky. Hurry up... (Marsha quickly tells Eliot.) We'll eat breakfast on da way.

Mila trails along with the rest of the group, not wanting to concern Finley given her current mental state. Hearing the conversation among Marsha and the others about how she'd been acting, though, Mila moves over to them and motions to them to move close to her so she can confide something in them..

"Look, I know Finley is acting cold right now, but when she woke up last night and told me we had to go... she was scared stiff. I don't know what's causing this, but she's trying to be strong. Please don't blame her... I want her to be okay."
