Everytime I think I remember how odd tvtropes is when it comes to edits like this I always end up forgetting. Thank you for the advice.

How... seamless is the transition? Like, if it altered someone's appearance noticeably, like a pudgy, nerdy gal wanting to look like a super-model, for example, does everyone act like she's always been that way, or do the girl's parents freak out because there's a stranger sleeping in their daughter's bed?
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.
Good question, you see your character retains themselves but can pull off things that are at the limit of human durability. So if your character was fat they might not have the best balance, but they would at least have the stamina to keep pace with an Olympic athlete, or the strength to put a bodybuilder on edge.
I suppose a good way to put it is that the modification isn't have an effect on the world, but rather is giving you the ability to change how you are able to act upon the world itself. It is the same for the desires, if their parents are in a coma then it is reasonable that they wake up. If they are in critical condition then their is a chance they can be saved. If their brother was kidnapped then of course the odds of the cops finding them is more then zero. A business can be turned around.
This is important to think about, Midas can do amazing things but what they do is change the possibility. It is possible a rich person sends you a check. It isn't likely, but possible. Just the same as its possible a bigger person could match speed and strength with someone who used to outclass them.
