Because there are other works with the name "Class" that need to be distinguished from this one.

Usually, parentheses are used to denote that the year (or book author) in the article's title is not part of the work's title. It looks like there is a wiki word to make Class (2016) appear as "Class (2016)," but it appears to have a bug for me on Chrome.

I initially moved the page pre-release as a precautionary measure. It was better to disambiguate when there weren't any wicks to move, instead of risk another work called Class receiving a page and colliding with it.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.

Don't pre-emptively move a page if there is nothing colliding with it.

Class has never have any title other than just plain Class. Why does TV Tropes give it a different name?
