New video.
It's convenient that this comes just as I've been wanting a breakdown of Jordan Peterson, who until I watched the video I only knew because far-right nutjobs fall all over themselves over him.
I could've done without the bath sequence (the end specifically) though.
It's a pretty good breakdown, especially the "it's hard to tell what he thinks" and the implications of it.
I've been exposed to Peterson by listening to the Majority Report podcast, where they've analyzed (and mocked) his popularity frequently over the last couple months, including an earlier interview with ContraPoints about the subject.
Current Affairs published "The Intellectual We Deserve," a lengthy critical piece on Peterson and the response to him, The New York Review of Books has also a piece on "Jordan Peterson & Fascist Mysticism" which looks at the kind of grand narrative that Peterson likes to spin.
My reaction to her video in a nutshell
Would you care to explain how or are you just gonna leave it at that?

Posting vids with no description is actively against forum rules. And if you want to defend a piece of racist and misogynistic trash like Petersen, please, have the courage to do so openly.
I'm guessing they're going to play the 'but my free speech card!" like they've done in the past
New theme music also a boxPetersen's garbage and deserves to be on the unemployment line. Provide me evidence to the contrary that doesn't come from Breitbart or a similar source.
Peterson is not misogynynistic though that's what a lot of his critics try to accuse him of being.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?Okay. How?
For instance the Cathy Newman interview. Throughout the interview she tried to pull the old "so what you're saying" trick on him.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?...that doesn't make him not a misogynist. Next.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?Another argument against him is that he thinks men are superior to women. That's not true. He says their are differences. Different and superior are not interchangeable words. For instance since Peterson likes archetypes I'll use the fighter thief mage trio. The three classes share many of the same characteristics but also a fair share of differences. However, these differences do not mean one is superior to the other. They each have strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?Congratulations, that's misogyny. "There are biological differences," is a statement that belongs in a biology classroom, not a discussion of the lack of female representation in politics.
His assertion that men and women are biologically different isn't why people call him misogynist. For one, that's blatantly obvious to anyone who's taken a basic biology class. People call him misogynist because of the beliefs his bases off of that biological difference.
Im not talking about biological differences I'm talking about thought patterns and problem solving tactics. And also he doesn't say "all women think this way and all men think this way" he says "on average men tend to think this way and women tend to think this way" on average means the majority which could be anywhere from 99% to 51%. And keep in mind that men make up approximately one half of the worlds population and women make up approximately the other half. Last I checked the Earth's population is around 7 billion so one percent is still a huge number.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? And he uses that information to imply that women are less qualified than men to hold positions of power.
I didn't say he said it, I said he implied it.
There are black Republicans. And? Internalized Categorism is a thing.
Oh god you're really going their. The old "these women, poc, etc don't agree with my point of view because of internalized bigotry." This line of reasoning is incredibly bigoted since it actually robs minorities of any agency.
The funny thing about implications is that they tend to be in the eye of the beholder

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? There's nothing to field. It's "there's a media plot against Jordan Petersen," coupled with "Jordan Petersen has female fans." It's not an argument, it's a comedy act.
I want him to talk with Fritz...or Freya or whatever it is call now, damn I get lost already.
also, it seen contra is moving from neo nazis and alt right into others area of discords, good for her.
