I haven't watched this, but I hear it's pretty good.
Hey.I've been listening to the soundtrack pretty much nonstop since I got it. Really looking forward to Part 2.
I just finished inhaling part 2 and can I just say... DAAAAAMN.
Other than a lack of Dizzee, and not as much focus on the Kiplings as I would have liked this was amazing.
Music as always on point. Lots of relationship drama and issues. Even some animation interludes to play up the campiness.
And if this is where it ends, it's a good enough place.
Wasn't the series crazy expensive to make?
Better a satisfying ending than dragging it out.
I thought it was a satisfying ending though most of the fanbase seems to disagree.
I'm nto sure how I felt about the animated sections, but overall, I was satisfied.

It was...pretty good. A solid 7/10, wonderful scenery, although I find it funny that Shaolin's struggle Was ultimately for nothing. He goes back under her wing, and Rapper's Delight cuts the DJ out.
But better than Stranger Things? Because it's "woke" or some other such nonsense? No way. No way in the world. Besides the fact that comparing the two is apples and oranges, Stranger Things is just a better show. The acting, the plotting, the characters - All better in Stranger Things.
The Get Down is done.

Although with that kind of budget ($120 million for one season) you could have had an episode of Luke Cage with the freaking Hulk and had money to spare. So it's not too big a surprise.
I could have sworn we already had a thread for this but searching pulls up nothing. Anyways, The Get Down is a Netflix original series about the death of disco and the rise of Hip Hop. The first six episodes released last August. Today a trailer for Part II dropped and we can expect it April 7th.
