I'm never really interested in joke skins/versions of characters, so if this is an actual summon banner I'll save my orbs for the next one. Hopefully there will be some less silly flying mages released sooner or later.
In other news, I've completed the 10th Stratum all-cavalry Lunatic mission. Team was Eliwood, Reinhardt, Gunter, and Jagen; unsurprisingly, Reinhardt was the damage MVP, and Gunter also performed really well on tanking duties. Jagen was the weak link who mostly stayed in back buffing the others, and on green-heavy maps I switched him for Leo.
All-armored is a lost cause but I might be able to pull off all-infantry before the missions expire.
My cavalry team was almost the same, except with Ursula instead of Reinhardt (I did have a 4* Reinhardt, but I wanted to train Ursula for arena). I didn't have such a low opinion on Jagen, though. It seems mine was +def, so he was as much of a tank as Gunter (without buff), except he could also tank magic. Of course, I usually let Eliwood and Ursula do all the heavy lifting, with +6 in every stat.
Before you write off armored, remember you can always reroll the tower when the colors aren't favorable. I was almost giving up on the flying quest myself until I remembered I could go into the 1st level to reset. Managed to secure all the wins I needed in a single day with this method.

Huh. I haven't checked my Jagen's IVs so I am not sure off the top of my head what his boon and bane are, but he pretty much had the lowest defense of the team and couldn't stand up to much punishment. Maybe I just wasn't using him effectively.
...looking now, it seems like he might be +atk -spd, which might also explain it.
My problem with all-armored is more that right now I have 4* Effie at level 40, 4* Gwendolyn at level 21, 4* Draug at level 20, and some 3* Gwens and Draugs that would also require extensive leveling to take on the top strata. I can reroll the maps to avoid blue units and such, but I'm not sure I can get enough units at a sufficient level before the mission expires.
Meanwhile I have a better assortment of infantry at or near 40, including my trusty 5* Lucina, Ephraim, and Klein. So I'll focus on that first, and then maybe see if I can level my armored units up enough in the time remaining.

About Jagen, as I said he wasn't the strongest. Since he couldn't get his own +6 buff, his defense pale in comparison to Gunter. Still had more def than buffed Eliwood and Ursula, though, which meant he was my primary tank when there was a mix of magic and physical enemies. That +def probably made all the difference there.
About your armored team, if you level them up enough I figure they can deal with lances just fine. Draug is kinda shit anyway, so you better keep him in the back all time. He is only useful for ward armor. Still, if you are willing to commit the time and feathers, I think a team of Effie, Gwen and Draug x2note might be good enough if you avoid mages and axes. Just keep Effie and Gwen up front enjoying the +8 def from the Draugs. The +8 res might even be enough to survive a mage or two.
Of course, you would have to commit a lot of time an feathers just to train them up. For 3 orbs I think it is worth it, but with only 4 days left, you risk just losing all for nothing. Still, if you don't promote anyone, then it is "just" time you are losing, so it is a bit more doable. At any rate, doing the infantry quest is probably priority, yeah. I am surprised you didn't already. It was my first, if only because it is the easiest.
Rolled a 5* azura when trying to get a ninian
+speed/-attack
Yay?

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaY'know, looking back I'm not sure why I left the infantry until now, myself. Perhaps because it is likely to be the easiest. Also I think initially I already had most of a flying team at the right levels so it made sense to tackle that one first.
Anyway, I imagine it will work out. I'll see how quickly I can clear the infantry quest before I decide how much effort and feathers I want to put into trying to clear armored. Thanks for the recommendations!
I want them to add Oliver and make him an armoured unit because. Also give him Nosferatu. Nothing will kill the fat man.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!A good 70% of Xander and Camilla's purposes is fangirl/boy bait (delete as applicable)
Heart of StoneUgh. Guess who just spent over 100 orbs on this banner chasing Ninian and didn't get a single 5*? At least I got a 4* Kagero I can upgrade...
Ouch, that is some bad luck. I feel for you.
...i'm definitely pulling the spring banner. at least once.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-Maepulling for Ninian. Get three blues at once.
Better than I've had.
first pull: Cordelia 5*
Huh. Goodbye summon bonus.
second pul: Robin intro
Wait wha-
4*
Oh yeah, forgot they did that.
third pull: Hinoka 5*
...Did I just win the lottery?
I've got a red and colorless left. Should I spend 7 orbs on the off-chance this is a really good draw?
always spend the full 20 orbs.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeNot when you're aiming for one character. I have a very effective team already, so i'm just grabbing some characters that look interesting.
Edit: Did it anyway. Matthew and Hana. Ah well, got some new toys.

Oh my God, 5* Hinoka is so rare... Props to you.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.- Def + Res. Not complaining.
Cordelia is down speed up def. :/
You know, it's kinda BS that you can't cancel the first summon. I mean, you could be gunning for a green unit, and when you see no green orbs on the summoning screen, you still have to spend 5 orbs on a summon you don't want before you can try the randomized pull again.
Anyways, I've saved up 46 orbs for the easter event, and I'm willing to spend up to $40 to try and get Camilla. Flying Iote Shield Rexcalibur/Gronnblade+ (if I ever get Nino) playboy Bunny, here I come!
I agree. Sometimes, I come into the Summon screen, but none of the right colors are there for what I'd like to get. :/
Though I can still get characters I want in these circumstances, they won't be a blue or green that I was looking for.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyIf you could cancel you would cancel until it was all green, which is obviously not how it is intended to go.
I think that is the mentality they were expecting when summoning. Maybe gunning for a color, but still happy enough to get anything.
Wait a minute. I just realized that Xander's costume is a reference to his support with Siegbert. Xander tells him that whenever he's feeling self-conscious he should imagine whoever's making him nervous as bunnies. In the original Japanese it was "pretend they're carrots."
That's a neat reference. After all, they could've put in just about anyone to be in (the yet unreleased as a normal unit) Xander's place.
I'd like to think they put him in for that, or maybe they went "hmm... we already intend to put in Camilla already, so let's grab one of her bros!"
re:summoning
I've got a "saving orbs overall" mentality here. (Like I always tell my mom: "Just because there is a discount doesn't mean you have to buy it.")
If my goal was just to "cash in" the summoning bonus, I'd just cancel after getting the 5*.
And I sometimes back out from time to time after the first summon if the colors are not ldeal.
On the other side of the argument: Because of skill inheritance and all, any extra units being gained may have some value so it might be actually worth pulling the rest regardless.
And finally, think Takumi's ever gonna be the focus again... I need one.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I'm gonna guess there'll be four seasonal Limited Edition focuses (Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas) and Takumi will be part of one of them (not Easter). We're probably also going to get different versions of Marth, Tiki, Roy, and Lyn through these too.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!That sounds fun.
One map I hate is the one with four bridges. Ugh
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting Agency
I honestly wonder if this whole event even tries to have an Excuse Plot.
My bets on that Xander is doing this for Veronica. Or Veronica has weird sense of humour.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
