Can I just say I've loved the memes that are coming out of this? As an Ayra hard counter, people are saying that this is a Heel–Face Turn moment for Reinhardt.
It's official. There are Swordbreaker Reinhardts in AA.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Heh, I like how Sigurd's absurd durability has necessitated something that's gross overkill should Rein get to attack any other sword. I guess Deflect Magic 3 might keep some of the ones with really high Res alive, but I feel like most peoples' game plans aren't going to be to have a non-Sigurd sword face tank Rein.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiIt's really funny. Without Lancerbreaker, one of those matches I brought in my Est and she facetanked Dire Thunder thanks to her high RES (boosted by Fury). Killed on retal.
Never thought it'd happen, but damn did that feel good.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I know you mean retaliation, but in my mind I pronounced it as retail and got a really funny image of Est beating up Rein at a cash register.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Someone has to draw that idea sometime.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I wonder if it's legit that the Ayra salt going on now is put on the Memes page...
Possibly. Also, I love how people are comparing Valter to Tommy Wiseau.
Ohai Marth.
Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.I kind of feel sorry for Ayra as a character; people are taking her as a symbol of greed and unfair business practices and I'm worried that she'll Never Live It Down.
God, I hope not. That's one character I don't want on the wrong end of that deal. At the very least, as long as they separate Ayra from IS, it'll be alright.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh. They keep saying it's not Ayra's fault. But I am not convinced. If we speak of memes, anything can happen.
The only way to prevent Ayra's name to go down is if people just take a chill pill and calm the hell down. But their surge to 'be defiant and shout against what they consider bad business practice' seems to be unstoppable.

Well, yeah. This was pretty objectively a scumbag move by a developer that had previously been generous and receptive to feedback. Of course people are going to be upset and give negative feedback.
Two months later and no one will give a toss.
Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.Giving negative feedback is one thing, but what needs to be done is giving a negative feedback... without dragging the character's rep to the mud. Learn to separate the developer's fault with the character's fault.
And I really doubt people of the internet can do that...
(Though secretly grateful that my baby Tailtiu didn't experience through this shit)

Ayra might get some memes out of this, but I don't think anyone is seriously going to hate Ayra herself as a result of all this. The reason people are pissed is because they like her after all. I doubt the backlash would have been half as strong if Arden had taken her place.
Never underestimate the waifu factor.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!If anything, it'll probably end up being, "Must protect waifu Ayra from Big Bad IS trying to whore her out!"
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI'd say the constructive thing is to give negative feedback without sounding like a bunch of entitled crybabies. The former can indeed lead to improvements, the latter might lead to a kneejerk reaction, or at least apathy - "you are unpleasable anyway, we aren't going to go out of our way to make you happy from now on".
The most accurate comment I saw is that no one would have given a crap had Ayra been free and Arden been on the banner. And we come down once more to the highly unhealthy waifu issue.
I'd have the same reaction for arden instead of ayra, personnaly. Then again my reaction was more or less "wut, ayra's in the new banner ? Weeeeell shit. Guess i'll have To chose whether i try to pull for her or sigurd ." Sooooooooooo

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."So what you're saying is that the real problem here is that people don't appreciate a good armor husbando.
IMO pull Sigurd, because you might be kicking yourself if you pull Eldigan.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I'd say that conversation would be more suited for the Representation thread, or for the Sexism thread. The FE fanbase is kind of an exaggeration of issues going on with fandoms in general.

Double SP weekend, as usual! Since the next TT will be dropping on Monday, better grind and prepare in the FEW maps.
My squad lineup for Lunatic 7 will be:
- Team 1: Sigurd, Brave Lyn, Nino, Ninian
- Team 2: Arvis, Reinhardt, Titania, PA!Azura
- Team 3: Olivia (4*), Black Knight, Julia, Brave Lucina
- Team 4 (a.k.a. "I really done goofed"): anyone that can counter whoever is left. -shrug-
A male character could have created an outrage similar to what Ayra is causing, but it'd have to be a male character who's actually popular, like Owain or Joshua.
Arden has been treated as a joke long before Heroes gave him a face that crawled straight out of the Uncanny Valley. Pretty sure no one would pull for him even if he had artwork that was more in line with the other characters.

I would merge her if not for me wanting to wait for another blue mage to give Balrblade + to
