Why not both? I've got a +10 Gatekeeper, and I'm working on building a +10 V!Lissa team around him that has enough bulk to withstand V!Lyon.

Sylvain's outfit reminds me of a toned-down version of Xander's.
Welp, Chloe's on the banner, so I guess I'm gunning for her. Would also be nice to get Framme, since she's basically a DR% support who's scaled up on the assumption that the DR% reduction skills are going to push her down to ~30%.

In fairness, they'd probably make her (and Jean) a staff unit anyway even if fists were a recognized weapon type in FEH. They're presented to you as healers first and foremost.
Seadall and King Hyacinth are the ones who can't be properly represented except as punchy dudes. Hyacinth technically could be a staff unit too, but he actually throws hands in a cutscene.

Framme and Jean may be presented that way in story, but their blue/preferred proficiency is actually Arts. That's right: the aspiring doctor prefers murder.
It is actually rather interesting that Engage does not have any pure staff classes, blurs the line when it comes to adapting them into Heroes.
Besides Framme and Jean, I imagine Pandreo would probably be a staff user too. Lindon is... well, he'd probably have thunder magic instead of a staff if only to facilitate his experiments and personal skill.
I mean, Lucius is still staff-locked across alts despite him having tomes in his home game, so anything's possible.

Probably the idea is "waking up from hibernation".
Ivy has jumpscared me. All I need now is for Peony to win the VG and my terrible plans for Mirabunny are Go.
IS refusing to add brawling in FEH will bite them in the ass. They're just brave weapons, so they're not even that complex to implement (heck, if they wanna go the lazy route they could just make them beast/dragon units depending on whether the user's a human/beast-like or a dragon).
Anyways, Cordelia feels like the only outlier from the whole banner given the motifs involved, and on a related note, I was not expecting Chloe's next alt to be a harmonic/duo hero. Sylvain not being a demote for once is awesome, but I guess this means we're not ever seeing the Lance of Ruin anytime soon. Triandra being a demote dancer is... kinda weird considering how the other fairies were treated. Finally, Framme being an axe user that can heal people is neat and gives her a solid niche.

"Physical colorless 1-range weapon with innate Brave effect" doesn't seem like a huge ask mechanically.
Perhaps the issue is that, unlike daggers which can retroactively be given to most thief characters even if daggers weren't a weapon type in their game, there are very few characters who inherently use gauntlets as their primary weapon: Raphael, Balthus, Count Bergliez, Seadall, and King Hyacinth, maybe Framme and Jean if they decide to sacrifice Engage's staff users for it.
So it'd be a weapon type almost exclusive to alts and the like, especially with base Balthus already relegated to axe duty.

Huh so now the entire CYL 1 & 2 lineup got resplendant skins. Feels weird considering how many Book 1 units still haven't gotten theirs yet.
Anyways, I somehow managed to get Spring Mirabilis with my free summon so that will be the extent I'll be summoning on the banner. I'm still saving for the +2 Brave Tiki merges I'm missing plus for Dagr's remix banner.
