Saturn has a translation, just not a patch to apply it.

Oissu!Puyo Puyo Tetris 2! Now with more Sonic!
My Japanese is about as good as my Klingon, but it appears you'll also be able to play as have player icons of Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Metal Sonic, and Eggman via DLC!
And Tropical Resort Act 1's music from Sonic Colors will also appear as BGM DLC!
Original (non-translated) source.
EDIT: Needed to edit (again) due to revelations from .

Incorrect, Sonic, Lidelle, Mr. Accord, and Ocean Prince are playable, and the other Sonic characters are player icons.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Argh! I thought player icons were basically the same thing... Curse my lack of knowledge of Puyo Puyo beyond gameplay.
So can we have Kirby characters next?
EDIT: Hey look! An English trailer!
Never thought I'd live to see the day Sonic says "Tetris". (Must have been a "whoa, seriously?" moment for Roger Craig Smith.)

Man I'm frustrated trying to get PC Engine Madou running. All the downloads I could find aren't compatable with the patch. Stupid headered roms.
Question about Raffina and the Puyo Pop Fever dub, namely this clip:
Is it just me or does Raffina sound less like a haughty mean girl and more like an excited child here?
I'm also curious in Amitie's subtle redesign, and it seems like her personality and hat were changed since her introduction.
Raffina's Fever voice is pretty charming. Though yeah she sounds more sweet than sour than she should be.
Raffina isn't nice in Fever, but she definitely becomes more self-absorbed and mean as the games go on.
Oissu!Customized music videos and remixes are not strange, but the fact that one was made of Kirby's Avalanche using JP Puyo soundclips is what has me in wonder...

4 new characters (Harpy, Ragnus, Rozatte, Legamunt_, 4 new songs (including the City Escape remix from Sonic Generations), spectator mode, new Boss Raid difficulty, and crossplay b/w PS 4 and PS 5.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Are the latter three from Quest or are they deep cuts from the Compile days?
Harpy and Ragnus are the Compile-era characters that appeared in Champions and Chronicle. Rozatte and Legamunt are very popular characters from Quest.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*I knew Harpy was from the Compile-era but thanks...thought I expected SEGA to add the characters they already added in Champions (Sultana, Ciel, etc) first if they were gonna do Quest characters.
(thought I was also hoping for those and the Banshees, but that is a slightly different matter)

So I've been thinking about getting Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. I'm just not sure if I should get it on Steam or Switch. From what I heard most of the community that played the first game was on Switch and PC died pretty quickly, but I think Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 had denuvo in it which might have had something to do with it.
Any opinions?
They're both still worth playing, and there's nothing really wrong with PPT2's Steam port, it just wasn't seen as the best Puyo or Tetris option that you can currently get. PPT1 was a Porting Disaster by comparison, but most of the bugs were patched out, and it's better now, but not perfect.
Really, I just love the story mode and the cast the most. Skill Battle's also a good time. The tutorials in this game are extensive and really just better than PPT1's tutorials.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Finally got the PC Engine port of Madou working with the fan translation patch. It's just as cutesy as ever, and the VA and bits of animation are fun. Fuck me though, the enemies will wreck your little girl ass pretty quick. It's necessary to hope you run into weaker Puyo and save as you get EXP, or the encounters on the first floor alone will be rough. Skeleton-T's just hiding in a corner, and will one-shot you if you dare try without grinding.
Played the recent Fan Translation of 4. Over all a fun experience, the art is real fucking pretty, and the music's really good. Special attacks can die in a fire, the matches in this game get really long.
The difficulty is also all over the place. I swear Dark Prince and Kikimora are harder than anything else in Story Mode.
The final boss is a doozy. She has the most painful special move in the game.
Oissu!Hey, uh, I really wanna get the word out as much as possible, but a cabinet of the Puyo Puyo Pachislot is for sale and the Puyo Game Archive group are looking for someone to help them buy and preserve this game.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Oh the one with the real lovely graphics.
That's not even a bad price for a full slot machine, but man, shipping it out of Japan would be an absolute nightmare. If they're serious about getting it they need to partner with someone with experience getting arcade machines overseas.
And no one, no one, should ever use Buyee for anything. There's way cheaper services with actual customer service.
Oissu!Currently there are talks, but I last heard that a couple days ago. I'll check to see if anything's happening. I know that once everything is settled, there will be a crowdfund to buy and ship it and whatever other expenses they need.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*I recently got interested in Compile Puyo Puyo because I like the quirky universe and characters (and le funni banter before the battles). I'd like to play Puyo Puyo 2 on an emulator (I can't brought a Snes or a Megadrive, duh) but I know that I probably absolutely suck at Falling Blocks puzzle games like this one. I'd probably pass the first few easy opponents before being absolutely wrecked by every opponents after and being unable to continue. Same for Puyo Puyo (1992).
Thankfully 4 is on the easier side.
Oldschool Madou's fun. Really simple, but the portraits give plenty of clarity how Arle's HP is without numbers. The GG version is hella impressive for keeping the voice clips and the Diacute stutter while having some really expressive portraits for an 8 bit console.
