But don't worry, as Chief Mate I'll get this ship running again as it was before that storm. The emergency power should be up soon, so please, try to stay calm and stay close to the ship, ok?"

Long live the New Bev.@Bacon Zorp: "Well, they're on the seventh deck like most of the crew's rooms, but you can't just walk in there without a key or something. And even if you do manage to in there, please leave the captain alone, ok?"

>"Uhm... The captain is... No longer with us."
Long live the New Bev.@Bacon Zorp: "You mean the navigator? Oh... I guess you already noticed...He got pushed out of the window during the storm."

>Hmm, maybe we could find a rope and climb down to the room's window from the deck... No, wait, the window would still need to be opened from the inside.
>Maybe break down the door with something. An emergency axe? Did boats even have them? Where would they keep them?
>"Probably near the engines or something..? Hang tight doggo, I'll be back soon!"
>Take the knife out my backpack and then head in the direction that I think the stairs down might be. Use the knife to make tiny nicks in the wall that I can use as a trail should I get lost.

>I exit my room, careful not to leave anything behind.
I would've done this earlier but apparently I wasn't watching this thread. That's been remedied.
Might need something bigger to see through here.
> Exit the room. Proceed to the Storage area of Deck 1. If I find the Engine room on the way, I peek in there as well, if possible.

OK it got explained

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonPlease put OOC comments in spoiler tags. Anyways, just the first post would explain the premise, but basically we're all on a cruise but then we got shipwrecked and now we basically do whatever.
You're basically playing yourself. The first command is usually some variant of >Wake up, but you can add to it if you'd like

>Wake Up
>Take stock of Inventory: Full Reusable Water Bottle, Iphone (100% Charged), Sun Hat, Box of Dried Fruit, Map of Cruise Route
>Wonder what the fuck happened
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas Edison@Afterwards: The boy backs away from you when you first come over to him, but he doesn’t immediately run off. He looks about 9 or 10, you think.
You don’t think he’s from on the ship, as this is the first time you’ve ever seen this kid.
@Bacon and @Cyber: “Well, I’m going to fix this ship if I can. Just, please don’t get yourselves in any trouble, ok?”
She exits the elevator and heads to the boat’s back end.
@Whizzerd: Unfortunately, the walls are too sturdy to make tiny markings with your current knife. You head down a deck but do not see the room you are looking for. You do however see Cathari move down the stairs to the deck below. Will you also head down another deck?
@Caliburn: You exit the room with your stuff to see two other guys running around the hallways. Nothing seems particularly unusual otherwise.
@Cathari: You head down to Deck 1 using the stairs by the front, which leads directly into the storage. Most of the light is coming in through the windows. There are a few scattered boxes and tools down here, though a clear path leads to a door on the other end of the room. You assume that’s the engine room. To the side of this door there seems to be some kind of black substance splattered on the wall and a small bit of the floor.
One of the boxes near this spill is partially opened.
@Random: You head back to your room to pull your swim trunks out of your butt suitcase, but your suitcase doesn't seem to be in your room. Maybe you can find out where it went at the lobby, so you head there. It seems like there’s someone at reception, but they’re currently making a phone call.
@Link: You wake up in your room. You don't really remember being in your room the last time you were conscious, but here you are. You remember feeling the boat swerve at some point, but specifics are a bit hazy at the moment. One look outside your window shows you a beach. One look at your room shows you a hole in your ceiling and a corresponding one in the floor. Well, at least you still have your bag of convenient items.

>Viciously stab the wall for daring to oppose me owait nevermind there's Cathy!
>The engine room would probably be at the bottom of the boat, and even if it weren't it'd be best to start a search from the bottom and work up.
>Thus I follow Cathy down the stairs.
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGob> Determine whether or not I can tell at a distance if the stuff on the walls and floor is some sort of fuel/oil.
> Pull out phone.
> Text After: In Deck 1. Black stuff on the walls/floor outside engine room. Might be ship fuel. Looks hella suspicious.
> Pick up one of the boxes nearby me, and examine what sort/type of tools/items are inside them, if I'm able to open them. Also examine/identify what sorts of tools are lying on the ground.
> Approach the other end of the deck area, but maintain some distance from it. If at any point I see the substance start to move in a way that doesn't look like natural dripping, or if I see any suspicious movement anywhere else/hear weird noises, step back.
> Try to stand at an angle where I can see what contents might be in the partially opened box, but do not approach the spill or get close to the box itself.
> If the opened box is turned over (such that its open part is facing the ground) or if the box is turned away from me, take another box towards the front area of the room, and try to throw it at the open box. If anything other than an ordinary mouse or insect runs out from underneath it, bolt to the front of the room. If whatever comes out (if something comes out) appears dangerous and/or hostile, retreat to Deck 2.
>Huh, seems awful quiet here.
>Follow those two guys.
The two guys seem to be heading in different directions. One's heading downstairs, and the other is heading towards the lobby. Pick one.
sorry, I should have probably specified this better :U

@Afterwards: The stranger trips into the sand. It looks like some blond kid. He starts to get up. His hair seems to be covering his eyes, but you still feel like he's staring at you...
this is a quick post. I might do a few of these in the future, though most of them will probably happen if you're interacting with certain npcs
