Trouble Squad - Discussion Thread

I'm probably gonna drop out of this game, sorry guys.

Thanks for letting us know, Thrall. As I said in Skype, you're always welcome back. Also, I've talked to those newbies who aren't currently engaged in the battle. Some of you are amenable to the idea we've discussed so I will edit my last main thread post later this evening to include a bit at what's happening at Echo Base so you guys can have a chance to get posting and interact with each other while the others are engaged in combat.

So how many players have left or vanished?

About half right now but we still have around five or six, counting the new people, which is plenty for a game of this calibre. I just updated the active character list to reflect the changes. Let me know if I took you off of it and you're still active and vice versa. I've also been PM'ing with somebody else who might potentially be interested.

Also, for the new people, my last post in the main thread has been edited to have a segment at the Rebel base

Does this mean all the inactive characters will be killed off? :V

On a more serious note, I have a weird, inexplicable aversion to being the first person to post when a group of people have to do it, so I'm going to hold off for the time being. I want to see what the other new players have to say first.

Well, someone has to post first so I hope none of the others have the same aversion .

As for the inactive characters, I was just going to leave their fates vague. Maybe they were killed by stormtroopers, maybe they were guarding the ship the whole time, maybe they were cowering under a table during the battle. That way, it doesn't get too confusing and players can come back as their characters if they wish.

Shall I wait for the gates to fall to start shooting up troopers or are they already target-able?

They're targetable from atop the wall or belltower but if you want to stick by the gate, you'll have to wait for the stormtroopers to actually breach it to start blasting them.

Hey, just to be clear, I'm assuming that Gulch, Sia, and Deathtrap are all along the Eastern wall since that's the one facing the most stormtroopers, correct?

Yeah.

Still waiting on a few of you but, since it's been five days since my last main thread post, I'm going to put up a main thread post tomorrow sometime regardless of who's posted.

Pretty sure I made a mistake last post. There were ten troopers in total left on the battlefield, including the ones that had been tangling with Sia and Karion. As mentioned in the current main thread post, the battle is effectively over. While a few troopers might still be alive (such as the one knocked over the wall by Sia), most of them are at the least incapacitated and, at worst, pretty much going to succumb to their wounds. It's up to you guys if you want to capture them, hand them over to the Tynnans, execute them, etc.

Okay, it looks like things have slowed down a bit. I think I'll put up a post later today handwaving you guys transporting yourselves offplanet and heading back to Echo Base to collect your rewards and introduce the new players. If you guys want to say your characters grabbed anything from the battlefield, let me know.

Okay so with that last main thread post, several things have happened. First, check the second post of this discussion thread and you'll find that I've updated it. Since you guys fulfilled all of the objectives for the Tynnan mission, several rewards have been granted to you. See the seconnd post for how to attain those rewards. In the meantime, your characters have two choices for where to shop right now. The on-base exchange has supplies of all kinds but nothing too fancy. The Wookiee merchant has only weapons and will be a bit pricey. I didn't mention it in the last main thread post, but all injuries will have been treated and your characters are essentially at 100 percent health.

I also updated the second post to reflect any captured loot you guys had. Sabia was the only one I recalled who mentioned something about looting the Imperials but since the Tynnans would also have wanted a slice, I limited the amount she brought back. Nevertheless, that loot is on the second post as well. If I forgot anything you guys got, or if you want to retcon your characters having grabbed something, let me know.

Do we know what exactly the shops have in stock or should we approach the stores in-character and ask about that?

You'll have a vague idea of what each has (survival equipment vs weapons) and if you approach either one, they'll get more specific but if you want something in particular, you'll have to ask and I'll roll and/or use judgement to determine if they'd have it.

Sorry, but I think I'll have to bow out indefinitely. My school's catching up to me and I'm running out of minutes in a day. Alkyn can probably just be chilling at the base if I get back.
