Probably everyone else already figured this out weeks ago but is it safe to say that the Tres Horny Boys' unusually high death counts in the crystal kingdom are thanks to their nature as red robes/liches? especially since in the stinger, they've been on this plane for a century now.

Well they still have that choice Istus foreshadowed. And apparently they're going to be amazing.

The obvious theory is that the Grand Relics will have to be recombined, like Isis in Final Fantasy Legends 2.

But there's something missing. If having all the Grand Relics before wasn't enough, what's going to be different this time?

Oh, I have a theory I guess but it applies to way earlier. Was Killian pursuing Magic Brain without her team because Lucretia meant for her to be overpowered so the tres horny boys would have to get involved? It is sort of implied. With Carey and Boyland, she wouldn't have needed Magnus, Merle and Taako's help possibly.

I was listening to episode 28 and I finally understand why Garfield the Deals Warlock cloned Magnus

when Magnus sold his shield he joked that Garfield could hang it up if he opened up a Fantasy Planet Hollywood and Garfield said that would be a good idea since tres horny boys were increasing in equity

He was going to open up his very own planet Hollywood with a cloned Magnus as a draw!

Bit of a huge clue to ep 59 reveal: Lucretia and Davenport never seemed vexed by the thrall of the Grand Relics. But when Carey was in the same room as the philosophers stone she started unconsciously going for it

I also forgot about Merle's spa conversation with the Director. And how she talked about losing friends when she decided to take action instead of documenting other people's heroism.

Griffin is a giant sucker for dramatic irony, it's freaking EVERYWHERE

My favorite example is "What if this thing has a kid that makes us forget it's own existence?!" Oh Lucas, if only you knew how right you were...

It really rewards a re-listen. The fact that bursting out laughing at the dramatic irony baffles my friends is just icing.

Minor Grand Relic thinks: I was thinking of which of the seven were likely to be responsible for which Grand Relics and my best guess is - Lucretia: White Oak Staff; Lup: Phoenix Fire Gauntlet; Taako: Philosopher's Stone; Magnus: Temporal Chalice; Merle: Gaia Sash; Barry: Animus Bell; Davenport: Oculus. It was all kind of a gimme until those last two where I just guessed.

So I've watched this like 30 times and it got me to cry, so. Share my pain. Also there's something neatly full circle here, since some stuff in Hamilton is on the record as inspired by MBM Ba M bits.

Oh man I cannot wait to show this to my Hamilton obsessed friend. Only four more episodes until she's caught up.

So a thing I have been thinking we know that Magnus comes from an alien world. But Julia, Steven, Hammer and Tongs, all the Raven's Roost stuff happens after his big period of static. So after his time as a Red Robe. And Merle has his marriage and kids and stuff that points to him being native to Faerun. Probably? How old is Mookie anyway. I don't know if there's anything that would point to Taako and Lup being native to Faerun and Sizzle It Up With Taako happened after that 12 year ago static patch.

And that just gets me sad that Lup probably wasn't around to see Sizzle It Up.

Also, I think the Director preferred to be called the Director either because she didn't want to chance reminding THB who she was or because it hurt too much to hear her friends say her name without any recognition behind it.

Merle can't be a native, he's died 57 times. I'm pretty sure Griffen stressed how young Mavis was to show that their marriage not only didnt last long but didn't happen long ago either. Also maybe marrying in and having a kid with someone related to the Rockseeker line was enough to qualify for map magic.

Oh man, let me know how they react! It's some potent feels on top of potent feels.

Fair points. I guess I figured Merle having the highest death count was because he had just as much bad luck with the IPRE as he has had during the campaign.
