-The shot splatters blood all over her face and jacket. Leaning down, she tries to check for a pulse on the fallen soldier. Just to make sure, she thought-

(...He's dead. Mission accomplished. Very well, Commander. I'll return for repairs and debriefing.)

Yeah, same.

The soldier seems to have a few more holes then your supposed to, and bits of gore splatter the floor as he's blown back onto it, dead.

Some weird-ass-looking fucker with orange skin, feathers, leather pants and a scimitar◊ walks into whatever the hell the setting currently is Fightopolis, and marvels at the strange architecture and tall-ass skyscrapers.

"One of the... shinier... planes I've blundered into. Like Acheron and the City of Brass fucked and had a kid."

-A girl with white hair, ice blue eyes, and wearing a white tank top, blue trousers and a labcoat appears.-

-On her left forearm is a rather peculiar robotic gauntlet.-

Uhm... So, back in the arena? But it's different than last time...

Another person is parachuting into the arena.

-squints eyes- Who's this...? Better signal my presence.

-she fires a flare gun round.-

A young kobold, dressed in a scarf, a tanktop, and leather gloves and shorts, walked into the empty city with an axe in hand. He's...stunned for a moment: was this really a city? The buildings, fitting to what many tend to call them, really looked as if they scraped the sky, and the streets went far off into the distance. It looks so big and grand and...and lonely. There was an unnerving lack of activity here: in shows, even at night, the cities were always busy. Now, it was...empty, no cars, no people, no anything.

This was hardly an improvement from the last locale he was in, and the claustrophobia of the caves he was traversing just moments ago was steadily replaced by a fearful awe and a deep worry. He clutched his axe tight; the wind howled through the spaces between the buildings, but not even a paper or leaf was swept away. His tail sinusoided in anticipation for...for something.

Corvo is running and blinking across rooftops, looking for someone.

Thinking standing still and waiting to be blindsided by something won't be...fun, the kobold—Anolis is his name—headed down this main street, paying close attention to the roofs of the buildings...

-Lilith moved to the nearest place she could find-

-It's a city.-

-She's walking through the streets.-

-She might bump into someone-

Anolis, at the moment, is still paying very close attention to the roofs of the buildings. In fact, he's paying so close attention to it, he neglects to see the white-haired human(?) girl and runs right into her.

Whoops, sor... What are you?

Anolis might see a black figure traveling across the rooftops, occasionally disappearing and appearing on a different rooftop.

Corvo stops, seeing the two below, and looks at them.

"Oh, sorry!" Anolis takes a few steps back from Lilith. "I...I'm a kobold...and you're a h-human, right?"

Earlier, he had seen Corvo, but at the moment, he's quite forgotten about him.

-she suddenly feels someone watching her-

What...

-sees Corvo-

And who are you?

Another human prowls the streets, one who might even be mistaken for a college student were it not for the massive scythe by his side. Upon walking out to the main road, he looks around and mutters to himself,

"Damn, no monsters here. Gotta find something to kill for that reagent."

Anolis directs his attention back to the rooftops, a malaise setting over him. His stance is a little wider, and his tail raises instinctively to try and intimidate the man on the rooftop.

The not-college student may notice a small doglike...no, lizardlike...no, a bit of both really, creature standing beside a white-haired human and wielding an axe.

"Well, if it isn't your lucky day, Tony!"

Tony swaggers over to the kobold and the lady, with his scythe held in an aggressive stance. He sneers at the two, and offers only the briefest of explanations.

"So sorry, but you'll make a great catalyst for my newest project. Now, I'm afraid you have to die."

Oh, shit, I am going to die, I am going to die. Anolis starts sweating a little, and he moves behind the friendly human, widening his stance further and glaring at the scythe-wielding human with barely-luminescent eyes.

Corvo continues to watch the two silently. When Tony comes over with the scythe, Corvo stands up on the rooftop and folds out his sword, while getting ready to intervene if necessary.
