I'd've swore that we had an IP thread about this at one point, but all I found was an old TRS thread. Dagger is okay, but the cutouts going across her boobs sorta blunt the effect, and Phantom Lady seems more like a really exaggerated version of Cleavage Window than this trope. I'm inclined to vote Keep Until Better Image Suggested since that dress was such a discussion topic in RL when Lopez first wore it.
That was a big part of the reasoning behind using J-Lo: It was one of the pages that was going to have to go imageless after the whole Google funfest over "inappropriate images". We figured that they couldn't complain about J-Lo, because it was on every magazine in every grocery-store checkout aisle for a couple of weeks. Google could hardly claim it was "Indecent" or "Offensive" if it was the cover photo on People
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Per the above, I may go for Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI find that the current works better than the suggestions because there's better emphasis on the actual trope, rather than on other fanservice details.

''“You want a planet? I’ll give you a planet! Heck, I’ll give you your own solar system! No, I’ll give you a house... in Boca Raton!I figure using real examples is in somewhat bad taste when there's an abundance of fictional examples out there, though.

As someone who always prefers pics from works over real life I would suggest Kasuga◊ from Sengoku Basara.
Not bad.
To me, all of the suggestions so far place much more emphasis on the additional fanservice aspects of the characters at the expense of clearly showing what the trope looks like without crossing into territory that's dangerously close to crossing Google's ill-defined "offensive" line.
I see no real reason to change it; "It would be better to have it be from a work of fiction" isn't a strong enough reason to change a page image that works well.

^ Looks safer than 13
Na, that's drifting into dangerous territory again.
19 is much more overtly fanservicey than either Urd pic, which is about on par with the current.

All else held equal, I think the creativity that went into coming up with a fictional character's dress better justifies being featured than just something that happens to be a real dress.
Really? That's a rather weak argument, because more is involved in making a real dress — the same degree of creativity to develop the design, plus the effort and skill it takes to make it actually functional.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Huh, never thought of it that way.
That said, I think the angle I was going for was more so of coming up with the character, the dress, and the way the dress goes with the charater. And maybe I thought of it that way because I associate commentary on real-life dresses with celebrity gossip; and commentary on fictional dresses with film critic sites, making doing the latter sound more meaningful in my mind.
Not enough to justify changing the image, but I just felt compelled to clarify where I was coming from.

Well, the current example fits, but as with all tropes it would be better to have a fictional example as opposed to one from real life. And hopefully one that isn't more titilating than it has to be, so let's brainstorm. Here's two from the examples section: Dagger◊, Phantom Lady◊.
