welp. might as well start this thread right.
They should get Dir en Grey to do the Op of New Grappler Baki.
Watch Symphogeartotally. that intro was what drew me in.
seeing this thread reminded me of the first time i heard about Baki. i was just randomly flipping through channels one day years ago, when i said to myself, "let's see if the anime channel has anything cool... the heck is Baki the Grappler?" then i saw that intro and heard Dir en Grey and my child-mind was blown. i had never seen a fighting anime this brutal before, and i ate it up.
i've recently started re-watching the second season because i never finished it. still as fun as i remember. Retsu Kaioh is so cool.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. Here's the PV for the OVA that was posted back in september:
Hopefully the staff for the TV anime will be the same as the OVA, Because it looks dope as hell (Having a Kara No Kyoukai anime Director helps).
Watch SymphogearAfter a long time this thread not getting updated, I'm updating it now.
Because the recent chapter of the 5th series sure is....something.
I don't know whether Pickle Raping a female reporter live on camera or Yujiro raping a dude that may or may not be a caricature of Ernest Hemingway the way he did in Baki dou(2018) ch 100 is more fucked up, but wow. It seems Itagaki remembered how much of a sociopath Yujiro really is.
I swear, Keisuke Itagaki is getting more and more ridiculous with each Baki series and I'm all for it.
Paru Itagaki herself seems to have inhereted that, seeing how insane Beastars got towards the end.

Been reading this for a while, and I started the New Grappler Baki manga after If finished the anime.
Though it has been announced that New Grappler Baki is finally getting an OVA and a TV anime after 15 years since the last one.
Man, Hanayama vs. Speck better not be censored, because that's one of the most brutal manga fights I've ever read yet, holy shit.
If they ever have a chance, doing an anime or OVA of the Hanayama spinoff where Hanyama kills a massive great white shark by shoving his fist through its eye-socket and crushing its brain with his bare hands would be so awesome to look at animated.
