Dr. Wily in one of his mecha would be cool and innovative. And just think of his reactions at meeting X.
Sony apparently isn't just making a Venom movie. They're also planning a movie with Silver Sable and Black Cat.
... I love how this thread has gone almost 80 pages without a shred of any sort of character reveal, or any other major news like what the Story Mode will be like. Most of what's been posted here in terms of "news" has been either A) news about something only tangentially related such as the MCU, or B) minor things that may or may not be hints of future news such as Ono's tweets.
Really hope that when Capcom finally reveals something, they give us something big and juicy to talk about.
I could see Dr. Wily being a MODOK-type character who pilots a machine that uses the Robot Masters' abilities. Hell, he'd probably be a good rival for MODOK himself if he returns.
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute. If the original Rock comes back, I hope they give him a more faithful moveset. His Mv C 1/2 supers were all original and not reflective of what he had in his games.
Or just give him easily spammable Metal Blades as a move
A good chunk of the news here is probably irrelevant to the actual game and is just people bumping the thread because of unrelated movie news or so they can rant about comic stuff they don't like.

Yeah I wish people would cut down on that honestly.
Honestly, can you blame them?
We haven't so much as gotten a hint regarding when we'll hear about more character reveals.
Man, waiting for actual MvC: I news is like this.◊
Yes. Anyway given the drought some are speculating the game wasn't very far along to begin with and Sony just wanted them to do a reveal to hype up the show back in December.
Still way too early if we aren't getting news until Summer.
Mileena MadnessThe only strange thing about the lack of news is that thus comes out this Fall. You'd think we'd get news at least once a month to hype it up. Oh well :(
35 year old white man.Maybe we should start showing as much interest on the game as the developers show on getting us updated.
You say it like we didn't wait for info last time. After the announcement of M v C 3 around April, we didn't get any new info until E3 of that year.
All we got was that promo image of Wolverine and Ryu and all the silhouettes.
Though speculating on who the silhouettes were was a lot of fun and did hold us over until E3.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Part of the fun when a new crossover fighting game is announced is speculating who will be in.
Hell, this happens with Smash Bros all the time.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Actually we didn't get magazine scans that announced Dante, Chun Li and others between then. And April-June isn't that long as of wait. :p
35 year old white man.Exactly. All we got was this◊.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Well we did get a trailer with six characters. But then again that's the same thing with Infinite :/ I wish they showed dumb silhouettes for this game too. Or at least any artwork.
35 year old white man.I don't know if this applies to everyone, but I think the lack of news is especially annoying because of Injustice 2. Mv C 3 didn't have a real competitor in the superhero fighting department, the closest thing being M Kv DCU, which came out three years before and was all but forgotten by then. Now, we know barely anything about Mv C:I, while Injustice 2 is getting a healthy amount of pre-release material, like character reveals, story trailers, gameplay streams, and an open beta.
Yeah. Pre-release. As in, info directly before the game releases, when they want to hype people to buy the game as much as they can. Injustice drops in a month and a half. Mv C:I drops in 8.
By August 18th of 2016, how much did we know about Injustice 2? We only got confirmation it existed in June, and had nothing but a trailer to go off of for months.
See, I didn't really care much for Injustice 2 until Infinite was announced, so my opinion is kind of skewed.
Here's my wishlist for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite just in case anybody is wondering.

"Prepare yourself!" - Ling Xiaoyu, Tekken 7: Fated RetributionAlright, here's mine (guaranteed to be similar to the one above): I'm guessing 36-40 characters in base roster and 10 as DLC (though I'll be listing 20).
- Capcom: Chun-Li, Charlie (SFV)/Rashid, Captain Commando, Monster Hunter, Dante (DMC 4), Nero, Zero (MMX), Sigma (at least hinted by that silhouette), B. B. Hood, Donovan, Frank West/Nick Ramos, Nathan Spencer, Leon S. Kennedy, Gene, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu
- DLC: Akuma, Vergil (DMC 4), Sieg Warheit, Asura, Jake Muller, Strider Hiryu, Edward Falcon, Dragon's Dogma's PC, Jin Saotome, Phoenix Wright
- Marvel: Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor (buff please), Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Vision, Ultron, Spider-Man, Venom, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon w/ Groot, Thanos (gotta need rework), Dormammu
- DLC: MODOK (lol), Wolverine, Deadpool, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Storm, Super Skrull or Mr. Fantasticnote , Ghost Rider (buff please), Blade, Sentinel (lol)
I'm considering a character from RE 7 cuz it's the latest RE game, though I haven't played it. Dunno tho, I heard there are no cool characters from it?

We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.I would think that Asura would be in the base game due to the likely hood that the hulk is. Perfect capcom rival for him.
Watch SymphogearI don't know, people voted for Asura and Gene as potential DLC characters according to a character DLC poll that was posted on Shoryuken.com (Yeah I know, I hate that site big time) and they ended up being the top two choices.
"Prepare yourself!" - Ling Xiaoyu, Tekken 7: Fated RetributionThat was for 3, though.
Watch Symphogear
Yoshinori Ono made a Marvel related tweet... again...
Also, in regards Max's choices, I actually think Proto Man would be very appropriate this time around. When it comes to Mega Man representation, the past Capcom Vs Whatever games have usually had characters from different series...
Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if Infinite gets the following characters for Mega Man reps...
