Expected, not accepted.
This is the Megaman problem all over again, except it's racked Up To Eleven.
Imagine if they said "Street Fighter characters would be excluded in the next installment". People would be equally upset.
Uni catWould they?
I think Ryu is Mr. Fighting Game as much the next guy, but I can't imagine the outcry being nearly as bad as the X-Men or Megaman these days.
I'm way under the impression that I'm one of the few who would be upset about Ryu's & Chun-Li's if that were the case.

X-Men and Street Fighter are equally important to the Marvel vs Capcom history since both games kickstarted the series we know and love. The exclusion of SF would hurt as much as the exclusion of the X-men did.
Uni catIt would be worse I think. People at least understand why the X-Men weren't in it even if they don't like it.
There would be no reason for Street Fighter to not show up.
This song needs more love.Back in MVC 3 I've seen plenty of people getting upset when Akuma got announce. While I can understand it, Akuma still has a strong history with the VS series. Especially since he was the one who started thing to begin with. Not to mention the ignore history that Akuma has with Logan. Maybe the reaction would be different if it was someone like Gill, but who knows?
I only speak for myself, but if Ryu & Chun does get excluded I would be pretty devastated. I like some traditions to be there.
Honestly, if they were replaced with less conventional Capcom reps, I'd be 100% for it.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIt's not like Capcom doesn't have multiple other Shotoclones in their stable to draw from.
Shoto Fighter V.
Mileena MadnessAs much as I find Ryu boring, I don't think I want to actually get rid of the guy from Capcom Vs. crossovers. Same with Chun-Li.
Btw, one quote in the first Avengers film was "If we can't protect the world, we'll surely avenge it" (CMIIW). MVCI actually referred to that line in Valkanda scenario, but Chun-Li instead says "bring them justice".
Kinda lolworthy when I think about it.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaMore lulzy was T'Challa thinking that statement was profound and deep lol
Well, E3 came and went with no news. I can't believe MVC is almost fucking dead.
Mileena MadnessI didn't expect anything from e3. EVO is probably where we can start ringing the church bells if their's no word.
Calm down now, no need to spout such things at an early stage regardless of past events.
I would personally look forward to what they may announce if it can be good.
The only good fanboy, is a redeemed fanboy. What early stage?
If he wants to say stuff let him say it.
Not his fault Capcom & Marvel has given him nothing to be optimistic about involving is game.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Fighting games die all the time, and they tend to not make a lot of noise in the process, so I don't see any sort of announcement being made for this. Most people have largely forgotten about it.
It got some DLC characters and a couple of balance patches. That's more love than a few other fighters I've followed.
You know that's the problem at hand right? There's been barely anything for the last 6 months.
What kind of fighting games you've been following that gets that kind of treatment? Especially this day & age.
The game was a nigh universally derided commercial flop. What are you guys expecting?
Oh how do I wish I can read all of the stuff above.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaIndeed, I feel like I missed something that happened.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Who was later added in as DLC. :(
