Text adventure "The Mysterious Land of Kapthar"

We start our adventure in the land of Kapthar where we start out in the Royal Court.

"Will the jury please rise." Jury rises "We are here today to review the case of #9026, otherwise known as Jack Nickels. Going over his punishment for countless murders in this grand city. Does the defendant have anything to say?"

You stand up about to give your answer remembering this can either lead you into the dark lands of Sinbrought, or a free life in the city.

"If there were a gun and knife planted on you then how come it took three guards to take you down, and incapacitate you? The blood was smeared all over the wall, and your body."

It started a long time ago when I was just a kid, actually 10 years ago today when I was 17. A man walked up to me and told me that you'll never become one of the greatest names in the division, so when I was able to buy a gun, and a knife I went and assassinated some of the higher ups who were on guard at the time. Six to be exact. I was going to continue this slaughter but 4 other guards came up and stopped me from going on further. So that's where our story is right now. Wait who the hell am I talking to?

"The Guard will not come at the moment due to traumatic flashbacks to the night already, but we will ask him tomorrow."

"He was the one who cleaned up all the blood, you should have seen him it took him nearly an hour to get the blood stain out of the rugs. Had to remind him not to drink the Bleach. We need someone who knows of the incident, and you have already asked upon the guard to be the witness. Do you withdraw that witness request?"

I know it wasn't me, I remember what I was going that night. I know they'll just call me out on this bullshit, but I know it wasn't me. The only thing I remember is seeing when the guards finally found me in the residence, and all I saw was a black mist fade off into the distance like it was rushing off somewhere.

As you finish your thoughts on what happened you hear the judge saying "The Jury may leave. We will finish this case tomorrow evening. As for the defendant you may leave to your abode, but we will be keeping close eye on what you do."

You say "Thank you your honor." as you pick up your briefcase watching everyone else leave.... Some time later you arrive at your humble abode of 463 Nubmer st. Where your pet turtle Jerry slowly turns to great you.

You tell Jerry that you you'll be fine in the morning and that you'll make it home again. "Don't worry Jerry I'll make it home due time come in the morning, just wait I know you'll be able to tell me what the answer to all of this is. For now little guy I think it's a good time to get some sleep. Good night little guy." You turn the downstairs light off while walking upstairs to your bedroom noticing the people standing outside your door. Ignoring them you peacefully go to sleep.

More tomorrow, but for now sleep.

The sun rises upon this day, Friday January 25. The usual routine of showering, breakfast, getting dressed, and working out for an hour. Time for the court decision. You head to the court room which was 10 blocks away. Looking at the beautiful house designs along the way while you ponder about the case. You know it wasn't you, but it's all going on your back. Two blocks away you starting looking at the giant court at all the people gathering there. Next thing you know you see a man who looks similar, almost like you... Never mind that the court room awaits.

You arrive at the court room doors feeling tension with it. Opening the door you see hundreds of people families, even children. You walk through the crowd while looking at all of them stare. You pass through the little gate and take a seat all alone. With a guard there staring at the table.

The Judge says, "May the jury please rise." Jury rises as such.

No defense attorney to be found, attempting to recollect the details of this case is hard if you haven't done anything. The evidence is all in that little bag and that little bag with blood. Everything used against me has reason, but not me. The only witnesses are the guards and that's all who showed up, but that's what they said to me.

The only villains in this division are soon to be sent off to Sinbrought and they have nothing to do with this.

The court is in high tension, the Judge is in no mood for games today and is willing to yell Guilty at any time. The Guard is there as witness due to your request yesterday. Either get this over with or keep going with the guard. There is a T.V. inside the courtroom that is playing the news which catches your eye.
