The dining hall didn't seem to be scaled for more than a couple of cliques among the pilots. There were only two tables, each one long enough and with enough chairs to seat all the pilots comfortably on its own. There was a fridge in the corner as well as a pantry, stocked with bread, meats, cheese, and yes, beer. All the staples for healthy pilots, but nothing particularly luxurious for now either.
[Cafeteria]
"Not a whit," Ejra said to Jay. "That's what this expedition is meant to ascertain. Never stop gathering intelligence, after all." Upon reaching the cafeteria, he glanced around to take stock of the place, and headed for the pantry. He examined the contents, then opened the refrigerator..
After a second, he announced, "Disappointing, but acceptable!" He seized a bottle of beer, glanced over the label. "Appears to be from a nearby island," he said, and popped off the top with a belt buckle on his shoulder, tossing back half the bottle in one go.
"Less disappointing," he announced as he lowered it. "Decent stuff."

"Beer is beer - nothing better than that." Jay said as he popped the bottle open with his teeth. Before the tragic accident that left him hideously burned, he would have never risked messing up his gorgeous teeth but with most of his face looking like it had gone through a fiery blender three times, he really didn't care about his physical appearance anymore. He thought about telling Bosco about the beer but then hesitated when he remembered what happened the last time his canine companion had gotten into some alcohol. Never again.
Each of the crew grab a meal, mostly meat and bread, along with a fruit for each. No one wants scurvy. They also grab beer, a lot of it in fact. Sitting next to each other, they start to eat and talk amongst themselves. Loudly. Empty beer bottles seem to be slowly amassing in front of them.
Aiki grabs some rum. He sits with Frederick, who is drinking some juice.. They are not currently interested in any conversation.

Tam wasn't a liberal person when it came to strong drink, like many of the crew who had descended upon the cafeteria like locusts and almost left him with nothing.
There was still bread, cans of tinned meat, fruit, even quarts of milk and lime juice to go along with the liquor they'd taken.
He fixed himself a simple sandwich and wished there were vine apples or cabbages. Along with a banana and some milk, the non-descript pilot took care not to over-eat even though his stomach rumbled.
A Arm full of tray, Tam cleaned up after himself, shutting the fridge door with his foot and wending his way artfully through the crowded tables to find himself a spot.
Jay followed Ejra, spurred on by a rumbling in his stomach. He had served in the military so he didn't much care what the food was like as long as he could eat some.
"You have any idea what they have in the cafeteria?" he cautiously asked Ejra, just asking to satisfy his own curiosity - not really wanting to get closer to any of his teammates, no matter what Bosco said.
