Dreamland

After a long day, Damien enters the tavern after a long day of beating up thugs and lowlifes for daring to break the peacefulness on Tropera. His girlfriend is working on making a delicious stew for our hero. Boy, doesn't it smell good? But something's off...

“Wait a minute. This is not my girlfriend! And this is not the tavern with finest mead in the land!”

The suspicious woman approaches Damien with the pot and stuffs him inside. Somehow, he manages to fit. Regardless of the breach in logic, he's going to be part of a glorious meal like the others!

Antechamber

Apparently, his boredom caused him to imagine things. So the clan elders were right. Never eat before taking a nap, or you'll will suffer from weird dreams.

Anyways, Damien wakes up in a cold sweat. He looks around the room and explores it in order to ascertain his situation. From the yelling going on here, it seems the fighting has started inside the palace. His teammates are even preparing to fight bad guys. Good job, guys!

Move to K15 and defend. If already occupied, move to N15 and defend.

Michel had been leaning against a pillar and fighting off sleepiness. He had been juuust about to fall asleep when the loud CRUNCH of shattering wood snapped him out of it immediately. After a moment of panic, Michel managed to regain his wits in time to take aim at the large door nearby, ready to skewer any enemies who came out of it.

Move to L14 and prepare an attack with the Iron Bow.

"Right bastards, attacking the capital like this," Gramps grumbled. Coming upon a locked door, he knew this would take some skill. "Move outta the way girl, no telling what lurks beyond."

He pulled out his mighty staff and bashed it against the lock until the magic forced it unlocked. "Which of you is interrupting riddle time!?" he shouted as he opened the door.

Gramps to S15. Unlock door with unlock staff.

If Malia dances him, prepare attack with tome.

Kiri was honestly feeling embarrassed here, if there really was a Manakete leading the charge on a bunch of perfectly harmless inse—humans, she'd have to give him a good walloping.

Move to J17

"Ugh. They have the wings of a dragon but they are not Dragonborn. I'll make sure to show them what a true dragon warrior is like as I slay them" grunted out Xel as he moved beside Gramps.

Move to R15 and transform into Dragon Form.

Round 1: Player Phase

"We'll get the Prince to safety," Diane called as the rest of the company made for the doors. "Good luck, and we'll meet up when this is over!"

• Zeera moves to L13 and unlocks L12.

The dignitaries' heads turned as one to the sound of the doors opening.

"What is the meaning of this?" demanded a towering man in a finely tailored coat. "Are you rebels, or Skaldrs?"

"Dear," said the Duchess from across the table, "these are the Prince's guards."

"Just how many factions are there now?" a man in a white robe said, shaking his head.

"The rebels are attacking. I saw them mustering in town not too long ago, and they just broke down the gates." He rode Heath into the room, examining the walls as he added, "I would advise you non-combatants finding somewhere safe to hide while we clear things up."

Move to J9 and defend. Suggesting all Civilians in the room head in the general direction of the rooms Gramps opened.

"DIE YOU COWAR- oh," Gramps stumbled through the door, staff at the ready, to just find a girl in a dress waiting in the room. "Stay in here and we'll keep you safe. Let me just make sure there's nothing dangerous...."

Cautiously, he approached the chest in the room and hit it.

Gramps to S17. Unlock/Open Chest with Unlock Staff.

There were people ahead, and Grendan seemed to be taking care of things in that direction.

"I'm going to see what's behind that door," Zeera said as she turned back around.

Request Perform from Malia. Move to I15 and then I16. Unlock the door at H16.

With Grendan warning the civilians of the attack by the rebels, it would be best to watch things play out from the safety of this pillar. Hopefully, the door Zeera was unlocking didn't have invaders lurking behind it. In any case, Damien does a couple of warmup stretches. His techniques are finally being put to use for once.

Stay in place and prepare an attack with Steel Clip.

Move to H16 once Zeera unlocks it, prepare attack Steel Blade.

"Is this the deadly foe that needs to be killed Gramps?" dryly commented Xel, who then moved to find where the action was really at.

Move to N15 and defend.

Oh. There weren't actually any enemies on the other side of the door. Awkward. Michel lowered his bow and moved over to another door, where hopefully he wouldn't make that embarrassing gaff again.

Move to J17 and defend.

Round 2: Player Phase

"I believe we should do as the young man suggests," the robed man said, his voice barely holding its composure as the guards nearest him were cut down.

"Quickly, your honors!" one of the remaining guards called out. "We'll cover your escape with our lives!" She hustled forward as quickly as her heavy armor would allow, giving Grendan the nod of one soldier to another in the face of their final moments. "For my homeland!"

"Chamur!" echoed another guard.

"Sowtlund!" called another.

As one, the remaining guards banged their fists to their chests, and brandished their spears for the enemy charge.

Well, this had gone to hell pretty quickly. Grendan considered the nearest attackers a moment before selecting the mounted one as a priority target.

Requesting Stamina from Malia. Move to G8 and attack Crown 4 with Iron Axe. If performed, attack again with Iron Axe.

There was just one more door to take care of.

Move to F15. Equip Frost Tome.

"I'll keep this...." Gramps mumbled as he picked up an elixir from the chest - only to accidentally drop his vulnerary on the ground. "Blast it!" he grumbled, his only consolation that Malia seemed to have a million of the damned things back at camp.

"Just leave this to us," he said with a nod to the servant before heading out of the room.

Store Vulnerary in convoy and keep Elixir in inventory. Move to R14. Defend.

Move to J14

On further inspection, it seemed that the enemies were, in fact, the way Michel had come previously. He blamed the hangover.

Move to L14.

"Come on fresh meat. Guards will need some help," said Xel to Damien, who went back to human form and charged toward the sea of departing civilians.

Transform into human form, move to M11, and defend.

Damien simply nodded to Xel, who changed back to his human form, which also managed to hulk over him. Damien ain't gonna question a Laguz who could probably lift two Damiens with ease and follows him to the doorway.

“Yes, sir.”

Head to L11.

After Zeera moves, move back to H16, use Kyoshi's to make H16 a mountain tile.

"What was that?" Gramps said, heading into the room he had opened earlier.

Gramps to S10. Unlock chest at R10 with Unlock Staff.

On the one hand, the priority target was down. On the other hand, Grendan was now isolated behind enemy lines- always a horrible place to be. A strategic retreat would probably be a good idea. Especially since he'd barely retrieved his axe in time to dodge the swordsman's attack, and that only because of a combination of the blade's poor weight distribution and its wielder obviously not being accustomed to said weight.

Move to J9, trade Iron Axe for Malia's Hand Axe, and attack Crown 5 with Hand Axe.
