Just to give a minor update:
As of this posting, the pilot's gotten more than 1 million views on You Tube.
That's all.
It looks cool. I would change some things about it though because it does give me some bad vibes. I'll have to rewatch it before I know exactly why I dislike it though. I believe it does have a lot of creativity in store. I find it better than Forever Twelve.
I don't know what I am doing so forgive me if I act like a chicken with no head on.I'm guessing the number on her hand means she's going to die or wake up..doctor who had a similar thing

Strangely enough, I loved Twelve Forever the first time I saw it, but when I saw it again later on, I started thinking "eh, it could do better..."
However, I never had that "it could do better" problem with Infinity Train, no matter how many times I saw it.
I know it's just a guess, but "going to die"? Ugh, I hate thinking that the train could be a metaphor for eternal damnation...
Also, what Doctor Who had that, the 11th Doctor?
So, do you think it should be a mini series like Ot GW or something longer? I ask because the In Medias Res plot of the pilot made me think of that show, and I'm not good at gauging the series' potential.
Wake me up at your own risk.> what Doctor Who had that, the 11th Doctor?
12th
Also,The World Ends With You had something like it as well
Its a popular trope
New theme music also a boxA miniseries does sound like the best choice for Infinity Train since I doubt you can get too much mileage out of the show's concept without draining people's interest, which happens when you drag a concept on for longer than what should be suitable.
Interest leads to suspense, excessive suspense leads to anxiety, anxiety leads to suffering, and the mystery of Tulip's situation is something people will want to be solved ASAP.
BTW, given how this is pretty much a pilot, anyone think the actual show will undergo some form of radical redesign a la Steven Universe or not really?
Maybe the animation style will just be different...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I'd hope for "refining some elements, but not overhauling it completely".
Also, I agree that it would be best to have it as a miniseries or at least have a set number of episodes from the get-go. It would make sure that the pacing stays consistent and prevent the show from suffering "making shit up as we go" syndrome.
Reaction Image RepositoryGood news: Cartoon Network actually aired the Infinity Train pilot on Saturday.
Bad news: It was premiered with a noose on its neck.◊
Hey maybe that's only place they could fit in it,be grateful they aired it all, they didn't have to
New theme music also a boxOh yeah, certainly they were forced at gunpoint to air fifty episodes of TTG in a row at least once a day. It must've been completely out of their - the company who solely dictate what to air on their channel - control.
Seriously, they turned TTG into their Sponge Bob and anything with a smidge of potential has to suffer for it. Can we banish those knuckleheads to another dimension (or to a volcano, whichever is more accesible) yet?
Wake me up at your own risk.Well that's what's bringing in the ratings.
New theme music also a boxI don't really care about TTG being aired as often as it is, but like, if a studio promises to air a pilot in order to garner ratings/interest for it and see if there's enough potential to turn it into an actual show, you don't air it on literally the worst time to ever show a cartoon.
Well they did, unfortunately
New theme music also a boxWelp, it's dead.
Maybe the pilot can get farmed out somewhere else.
Friendly reminder that Adventure Time's pilot never aired on Cartoon Network and still got picked up for a series.
This song needs more love.Cartoon Network is a surprisingly bad place for cartoon pilots.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Sure, but that seems to bode even worse for Infinity Train.
Because it did air while others didn't, and CN decided to show it at the worst possible time to show a cartoon, basically.
They're trying something "different"...
None of CN's current shows had pilots air on the network...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Either way, some people are overacting and need to chill
And being more positive! No need to be a so bleak about everything!

New theme music also a boxThey should've aired it at noon?
The last show of the day?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Is the Ernie Hudson mentioned in the credits the same guy who played Winston in Ghostbusters? If so, thats a pretty big name actor to get for a pilot.
I really hope this gets picked up. It looks like a really interesting combination of Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, and Over The Garden Wall with a nice bit of Ontological Mystery mixed in. It has a good amount of whimsy to it, but it didn't strike me as quite as surreal or random as Adventure Time can get sometimes.
