Breakdown 6-7. So apparently Maia was one of the finalists in Hell Survival Battle. That's one way to hype up an unknown enemy. Now it's clear what this story's true genre is, wilderness survival. Collect resources and avoid unknown and powerful enemies. I'm impressed how it keeps changing each story. Props to Margarite for trying to recruit Mei to her division. Though Mana could get her easy entry. I definitely underestimated Chelsea. 20+ years of experience will give her sharp skills and knowledge of how to abuse her power. Kind of disappointed in Ren-Ren for being so willing to become a villain on Agri's orders. Hopefully she doesn't get Merry and Chelsea killed.

Don't die Clantail. Pechika is cheering you on. She's impressive for surviving that creature untransformed as an injured little girl without her glasses. I'd really like to see her moth form. Everyone is completely scattered. The stakes keep rising. Navi is still sketchy, but it does seem like he's not causing any problems at the moment. Still don't trust him or Clarissa. Even Margarite is wary of Chelsea. Always remember not to underestimate anyone. And now 7753 lost her goggles. Pajama Lady can't do anything right.

Restart 1 is out. Magical Daisy. Nokko. Genopsyko Yumenoshima. @Meow-Meow. Clantail. Pechka. Rionetta. Nonako Miyokata. Pfle. Shadow Gale. Masked Wonder. Detec Bell. Cherna Mouse. Lapis Lazuline. Melville. Akane. Good to have these girls in English. Though scouring the wiki to fix the names may be less fun.

The fan translations caught most stuff, but there are a couple bits of interest. Magical girls are types of mages, which makes me wonder how actual mages will be handled. Their enemy is the Evil King. Not sure if dissociating that term with Pam is good or bad. Doesn't really fit the person though. Meow-Meow has broken speech patterns instead of her verbal tic. Kind of annoying, and it means Cherna is somehow only the third worst speaker. Miyokata (I'm sticking with that name so i don't get her mixed up with Sorami) now speaks tons of French. Which is hilarious. In the original she talks a lot of English, but I think the Restart Circle of Life story implies she's French, so it works out. There's a bit of exposition on Unmarked's magical candies, which is nice. Definitely looking forward to March.

I'm happy to see there's MGRP thread here. Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I really liked both anime and L Ns. I can say I like Restart and Limited best because they are more developed than Unmarked and have even more likeable characters.

New arc is finally announced. With Breakdown (presumably) reaching its end, I'm excited to see how how everything continues. Breakdown has been fun, but a lot slower than it needs to be. Recent chapters could've been condensed with how little happens in them. I do appreciate how the good characters are trying to avoid unnecessary fights. Clantail remains a super good girl. Not sure how I feel about it all relating back to the Sages yet again.

Dub happening in the summer. Doubt it means anything for future anime prospects, but still good to see it happen.

So arc 7 should be coming out this year. Hopefully. But in the meantime the newest short story compilation is coming out on June 10, Episodes Delta. Good duo on the cover as well. La Pucelle and Stella Lulu. Cheeky. Hopefully YP brings over F2P one day.

Arc 7 has been officially announced. The subtitle is Black. Looking forward to it, though I do hope this isn't the end for certain characters, as there have been a few teases. Seems this involves a class of some sort. Should be 17 main characters. Snow White with a broom and unmasked Armor Arlie are returning with everyone else being new. Possibly two new artificial magical girls. One like Deluge with lightning powers and another like Arlie with a drill.

Well things seem to have been quiet, but the franchise has actually had a decent amount going on with Black and White, Breakdown finishing, more side story compilations, pachinko, and a live reading drama elaborating on Cranberry's backstory. That last one just so happened to announce animated project Restart. So not quite 100% official just yet, but it looks like season 2 really is happening.

[up]It is pretty official for me. They announced "Restart" anime and the director of the previous season confirmed he is returning to direct this one. Yes, no news about the format and other staff yet, but let's wait.

I'm honestly shocked that MGRP is getting another season. Good shocked, mind; I believe Restart to be where the series begins to grow more into its own thing. (Plus I'm just a sucker for whodunits.) I'm eager to see how they adapt this arc.

Definitely gonna be trickier to handle flashbacks of death if they want to keep the mystery going. Not sure how they're gonna handle the extra side stories, though Restart itself has enough content that it doesn't need them to feel fleshed out enough.
